⚠️ Rotax has issued a MANDATORY Alert Service Bulletin — ASB-2026-002, dated 03 September 2026.
It calls for replacement of the turbocharger valve housing on 915 i and 916 i series engines, after cracking and insufficient wall thickness were traced to a supplier manufacturing fault. The risk is an oil leak onto hot exhaust components — smoke, and in the worst case an engine bay fire.
Affected engines and turbochargers are listed by serial number in the bulletin’s appendix. Installed engines must be done before next flight, and no later than a year from issue.
912 series engines are not affected.
