This weekend, The Camber in Old Portsmouth welcomed Urban Sketchers Portsmouth 🎨

The group has previously visited our Sky Garden to capture ships while they were in port, and it was a pleasure to see them return.

We're looking forward to welcoming Wightlink Isle of Wight Ferries car passengers and freight vehicles this weekend while the Great South Run takes place.

🚫 Foot passengers and cyclists will not be able to travel on the Portsmouth-Fishbourne route during this period.

🚶 Foot passengers should use the Portsmouth Harbour-Ryde Pier Head FastCat service instead.

⚠️ Important travel information for customers travelling via Portsmouth on 17 & 18 October.

Due to the Great South Run and essential maintenance work at our Portsmouth Gunwharf port, all vehicle sailings on our Portsmouth-Fishbourne route will operate from Portsmouth International Port (PO2 8SP) on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October.

Please note:
✅ All vehicle bookings must be made in advance
✅ Sailings will depart from and arrive at Portsmouth International Port (PO2 8SP)
✅ Crossing times will be around 60 minutes
✅ Check-in will be between 60 and 30 minutes before departure
✅ Vehicles may be subject to security checks

Portsmouth sparkling this morning for the first call of Lindblad Expeditions National Geographic Endurance ✨ 💙

The luxury expedition ship is spending the day in the city as part of a 9 day cruise from the Scottish Isles to Lisbon, with over 100 passengers onboard. Thank you to Compass Aerial Photography for the stunning photos and video.

We're hiring for a new electrical fitter to join our team.

Our electrical fitters are responsible for carrying out electrical repairs, maintenance, installations, testing and inspections across a diverse range of port assets, including machinery, buildings, pumps, CCTV and operational equipment. Working as part of our maintenance team, they play a vital role in supporting the port's day-to-day operations.

A warm welcome back to Saga Cruises 💙

Spirit of Adventure made her return on Saturday, marking the start of Saga's Autumn/Winter sailings from Portsmouth. Both Spirit of Adventure and her sister ship Spirit of Discovery will be calling regularly between now and the end of the year, with over 950 passengers expected to embark today.

Across the season, passengers will head to the warmer climes of the Mediterranean and Canaries, as well as winter voyages to Scandinavia.

An honour to welcome Vestland Classic's Nordstjernen to Portsmouth today, as the vintage coastal passenger ship celebrates 70 incredible years at sea. Built in 1956, this historic former Hurtigruten vessel holds Norway’s highest level of state heritage protection and offers nostalgic cruises for its guests.

Currently on a round trip anniversary cruise, she will leave Portsmouth tonight to head to Falmouth before touring the Isles of Scilly, Fishguard, Avonmouth, Lundy, Penzance, Dartmouth and back via Cowes. You can catch her sailing out of the harbour at 1800 tonight.

Our head of cruise and ferry, Andrew Williamson had the privilege of going onboard to meet Captain Odd Nordahl-Hansen for the traditional plaque exchange.
