🌍✨ Walking Through the Bible, One Place at a Time

📍 Capernaum

✝️Biblical significance

Jesus’ ministry base
Jesus Christ made Capernaum his home during much of his ministry, making it one of the most important towns in the Gospels.

Place of teaching and miracles
Many miracles happened here, including healing the sick, casting out demons, and restoring life, revealing Jesus’ authority and compassion.

The synagogue connection
Jesus taught in the synagogue at Capernaum, where his message amazed those who heard him.

Home of the disciples
It is closely linked to Peter, whose house is believed to have been in the village and served as a gathering place.

A warning of unbelief
Despite witnessing miracles, Capernaum is also mentioned in the Bible as a place that struggled with unbelief, making it a powerful reminder of faith and response.

🌍✨ Walking Through the Bible, One Place at a Time

📍 Mount Nebo

✝ Biblical significance

Where Moses saw the Promised Land
According to the Bible, Moses climbed Mount Nebo and was shown the land of Canaan, the Promised Land he had led the Israelites toward but would not enter (Deuteronomy 34).

A moment of fulfillment and closure
It represents the end of Moses’ journey, marking a powerful moment of faith, obedience, and completion of his mission.

Traditionally linked to Moses’ death
Scripture records that Moses died in this region, making the mountain a place of deep reflection and reverence.

A panoramic, symbolic viewpoint
From the summit, you can see across the Jordan Valley toward Jericho and even Jerusalem on clear days, bringing the biblical story vividly to life.

🌍✨ Walking Through the Bible, One Place at a Time

📍Western Wall

✝️Biblical significance

Last remnant of the Second Temple
It is the surviving retaining wall of the ancient temple destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE during the Siege of Jerusalem (70 CE).

Symbol of loss and hope
The name “Wailing Wall” comes from centuries of mourning the destruction of the temple, but today it also represents resilience, faith, and the hope of restoration.

A place of prayer and pilgrimage
Visitors from around the world come to pray and place written prayers into the cracks of the stones, a powerful and personal tradition.

Spiritual significance beyond Judaism
Located in Jerusalem, it sits within a deeply sacred area important to multiple faiths, making it a symbol of shared history and devotion.

✨UPCOMING EVENT✨
From Jordan to Jerusalem

📅Tuesday 3 March 2026
⏰8pm
📍Jethro Centre - 6 Flush Pl, Lurgan, Craigavon, BT66 7DT

If it has always been in your heart to walk where the Bible comes alive, we would love you to join us for an insight into our Christian tours from Jordan to Jerusalem.

Sharon Thompson has just returned from her 23rd visit to Jerusalem, experiencing brand new archaeological discoveries during a time when the Holy Land was out of reach for visitors.

Jordan holds plentiful Old Testament history, from the time of Lot in Genesis, to the New Testament when Jesus went to Bethany Beyond the Jordan (John 1).

The Galilee region brings the ministry of Jesus to life from the Mount of Beatitudes and Capernaum to Nazareth.

The Jerusalem Old City answers many questions of faith. Rising above the City of David, the First and Second Temple sites lie beneath the Dome of the Rock. As you walk through the four quarters, Christian, Armenian, Muslim, and Jewish, Scripture comes alive with every step.

Church leaders interested in taking their own group in the future are warmly invited to chat with us after hearing about our tours.
