I see the Scottish Government broke rules for a 175k goodbye b**g to the Calmac CEO. Yet still no compensation for commercial ferry users such as us. That must be worth investigating futher BBC ALBA. BBC Scotland News STV News I still have not had a reply for my request to HIE for the Islands Impact assessment for the Resilience fund for the few. The fight for fairness for all will continue. Why are our paid representatives doing so little for the people that actually live and work here all the time, not just a Holiday home getaway? Disgraceful policy gerrymandering for the few.

GTi is now been trolled by the Scottish Government HIE. You couldn't make this up. Where was the local MSP (expenses 45k)Community council or the ferry committee when the decision to fund some and not all was reached for the Ferry fiasco. All Transport most affected and not just 2024 but we are left high and dry through an unfair divisive policy. They should hang there heads in shame imo for standing for the few and not the whole community. Not fit for purpose. Looking forward to the impact assessment Scottish Government said shaped the policy. We were never consulted.

BBC ALBA Business Resilence Fund. Interesting that Scottish Government tasked Highland and Islands Enterprise (First I have heard of this) to carry out an impact assessment.
In the interests of transparency this must be made public so we can all read the assessment for ourselves.
Has anyone a copy I can read asap, before I start Freedom of Information requests.
Thank you.

I would like to Thank BBC ALBA for interviewing myself Donald Gillies and others today after I approached the News team about the shambolic Scottish Government resilience unfair fund for their Scotland wide Ferry Fiasco. Tune in tomorrow to Radio Nan Gàidheal 830am or BBC Alba tomorrow night 8pm to listen to our local grievance against the clear unfair treatment in my opinion to the transport and other sectors affected. Swear words will be beeped!

Wishing our Customers Staff and Families a Happy Christmas and a safe healthy NewYear. I would also like to thank all the staff, family and friends that are assisting to get GTi business back on track. The last few years have been challenging to say the least and sadly this Year Jennifer Gillies GTi2 passed away after living with cancer for a number of years. Jennifer (RIP) was an amazing partner in business, life and Love over the years. I miss Jennifer and her beautiful wonderful creative ways more each day. She loved this time of year thanking people and doing the Santa runs. We started trading GTi in early 2007. The name and fantastic vehicle livery design was Jennifer's. Unfortunately with the Scottish Government owned ferry fiasco shambles service we had to sell the lorry. So we had to diversify to survive over the years changing focus and adapting as and when we could. We could not break the transport Monoply on the ferry and even this month we get a further Government kicking as they are going to compensate some businesses affected by their ferry failings but not GTi, a company clearly damaged over the years trying to supply a service on Standby! We are not resilient or important enough for MSP Jenni Minto MBE. We are hoping to be on BBC news shortly to cover this in more detail as once again a local is left high and dry by a damaging divisive political policy to help some and not all that are affected by their incompetence. It was myself that was the main campaigner in Scotland that changed the 5 metres to 6 metres vans when Alex Salmond (RIP) Was First Minister. Once again thank you for your continued custom and support and we look forward to serving local, national and internationally where possible in 2026 and beyond. Slàinte GTi1. Donald Gillies
