Specialist Bariatric Ambulance Transport – Safety, Dignity & Comfort

Bariatric ambulance transport requires much more than a standard pick up and return journey.
It requires careful planning, specialist equipment, experienced crews and an understanding of each patient's individual needs.

At EMA Patient Transport, our specialist bariatric ambulance service provides safe and dignified transport for patients who may not be comfortably or safely accommodated using standard equipment. Our bariatric ambulances can support both short and long-distance journeys, including hospital appointments, hospital discharges and moves to a new place of residence.

Our specialist equipment includes a bariatric stretcher capable of supporting up to 400kg and a bariatric wheelchair capable of supporting up to 200kg.

Depending on the individual transfer, additional crew members and specialist equipment can be planned in advance to help make the journey as safe and comfortable as possible.
