On White Water I try not to use bars, unless I’m asked and it’s the anglers choice.
For sheer numbers of fish bars will out fish more than anything but it does dull the fight of the tuna.

To be fair most of my crew want to feel the power of these fish.
We will often switch between baiting and casting techniques.

Casting not for the faint hearted and it’s probably the hardest fight you’ll ever have with a fish.. without a doubt.
The hit on the lure is unreal speed of the hooked fish is insane and the fight will hurt you but it’s something you’ll never forget… 🎣

Ask me what way you want to catch one and I have the tackle and the experience to try all tuna fishing techniques.
Again it’s your choice…🎣

Great we won it even better to catch the fish that got us over the line on a top water outfit....bloody water buckets are tough work 😂
5 fish on the first day 2 on the second day, plus the biggest tuna of the tournament picking up another prize.

At times I have needed to cover the miles but when I find them more often than not the anglers get to see some spectacular sights.

Not the biggest around the 150/180lb.

Using as many fishing techniques as possible is what makes fishing on White Water different to many other boats.

It can also be a game changer,.

Coming from a hard tuna fishery off West Wales, you need to be able to make that decision that catches all fish for each angler, when it’s tough fishing.
