This Saturday! Come heal your heart at our workshop about heartbreak! "It Is Otherwise For Us" is part of the After Love exhibition and event series at Ovada – a project on romantic heartbreak by Dr Sally Holloway.

Join Maya and Phoebe from the Oxford Poetry Library on 17 October at 2pm at Ovada for a relaxed, explorative afternoon of poetry. Looking at two poems that span the tenth century to present day, we’ll consider how experiences of heartbreak resonate and shift through time, holding the universal and personal side by side.

You’ll have plenty of time for writing, with guided prompts helping you to explore seeing heartbreak from new perspectives. Full details:

Come along THIS SATURDAY to The Shape of Poetry, OPL's premier formal poetry workshop where we look at all the conventions of a particular form. We cover everything from haikus to sonnets to ghazals! Every month we gather online to look a specific poem, pick it apart to understand its form, and you get to experiment with writing your own.

This workshop is collaborative and supportive - all poets are welcome, no matter how experienced you are! At the end of each session, you can share what you've written or learned in a low-pressure environment.
