Cruise entertainment has a bit of a reputation for involving a tribute act or two.

This is not that.

Virgin Voyages is bringing Comedy Fest back for August 2026, and the lineup is brilliant. These are the sort of names you would actually pay to see on dry land.

Lucy Beaumont. Milton Jones. Seann Walsh. Babatunde Aléshé. Desiree Burch. And they are just the Headliners, the support acts are great too.

Five nights of brilliant stand-up, served somewhere between Bruges and Hamburg.

And between the sets you get the best of a Virgin Voyage - Champagne in The Manor. Late shows under the stars. Incredible food.

Sailing 20 to 27 August 2026 from Portsmouth aboard the Valiant Lady and calling at Bruges, Amsterdam and Hamburg, with an overnight stay in the mix.

My camera roll is a mess. There...I said it!

As well as a zillion personal pics I have thousands of pics of my travels. Numerous countries. Hundreds of pics of food, hotels, views, animals, people, places, experiences

I know I need to sort it out.
I know I need to delete loads.
I know I need to be able to find what I need more easily

But these are my memories.
And every time I try to have a clear out, I get completely distracted with looking through everything and nothing gets done.

Help.
Seriously...help!

If anyone knows a way to deal with this (first world!) problem then I am all ears! Honestly...tell me how you manage this, is there an app, a method, a way of managing this? I use Android, and I'm open to spending hard earned cash on sorting this out!

These three sister hotels in Corfu could not be more different.

= cocktails, DJ and no kids in earshot. This is the slightly livelier sister.

= the big sister. Swim-up suites, tasting menus and an adult focused luxury resort.

= the baby sister. The family focused little gem.

All three are luxurious, with wonderful food and attentive teams, so which one may be right for you?

With Greece continuing to help UK holidaymakers to pass through their borders with as little fuss as possible, Corfu really should.be on your 2026 list.

Don't you just hate the chaotic traffic at these events? The organisers do their best, but getting thousands of cars in and out at the same times is a helluva task.

You could arrive in the small hours to beat the queue, or you could miss the end of the race and shoot out early to miss the chaos (why though?!l)

Or you can call me. I'll arrange for you to park your car away from the chaos and to be helicoptered in and out.

I need to tell you something about this place. It is genuinely as incredible as you imagine. It's not a gimmicky theme hotel, it's honestly one of the most amazing hotels in the world. And that's nothing to do with the comfy beds or the great food. This one is all about your fellow guests!

Nairobi gets written off as a stopover but Giraffe Manor is only 20 mins from the airport and is the perfect first night on a Kenya safari. You land, you sleep somewhere extraordinary, you wake up to a giraffe in your face, and then you head out to the Maasai Mara wondering if the rest of your trip can live up to night one! (Spoiler: it can)

It books up over a year in advance and I'm not saying that to create urgency, I'm saying it because it's true. I have built safari's around the availability of Giraffe Manor, so if you'd like to include this incredible hotel as a part of your trip, this needs some forward thinking.

Luckily I'm good at planning ahead, so you know what to do 👇

Three hotels opening in 2026 that I am genuinely excited about.

Not because they are shiny and new (although I do like that too!). But because each one does something that nothing else in that destination quite does yet.

There is a feeling you get when you just know a place is going to be special before it has even opened and I have that about all three of these. They'll offer the kind of experiences that get talked about long after you get home.
