3 unfinished coaches, a covered wagon & a brake van have arrived at the Taran Workshops.
Lord Taran's staff will be busy!
The wagon & van will most likely be grey.
Lord Taran isn't sure what colour livery to go for on the coaches. What does everyone think? Please comment below.. ABC or D?

A Crimson Lake (ie maroon/dark cherry red)
B Dark Green (ie Brunswick or similar)
C Navy Blue (ie a TLR livery)
D Something else? (State suggestion)

The coaches will be pulled eventually by a black Peckett-style 0-4-0 saddle tank steam engine called "Warrior", out of the Doncaster Works (ie Roundhouse engineering.)

Lord Taran has been up in his hot air balloon to see how the railway progress is looking. He was disappointed not to be able to see the full circuit due to the forest to around the quarry end, but it's deciduous so hopefully he can try again in winter if it's not too cold & windy for balloon flights.

Lord Taran was visiting the Marquis & Viscount of Hoole, to explore their very attractive railway. He instructed Frank Hargreaves to do a detour via the Hoole Railway. So he could show Ian & Paul (as Lord Taran calls them), his newly acquired wagons.

Lord Taran had 2 wagons to collect from Snowdonia. They had been bought from an estate in the South of England, fortunately a couple of locos and other rolling stock, were heading to the Wigfa & Llanrwst Railway. So it was agreed Lord Taran's purchases would be left there too for collection.

Lord Taran asked Arthur Bennett (the Taran Halt Station Master) to send Glaslyn, the biggest diesel over to collect them. So Arthur duly sent Glaslyn with Frank Hargreaves, it's main driver.

Frank is an ex-Army mechanic, practical, calm and dependable. A no nonsense kind of guy, who Arthur trusts him implicitly.

Here's Glaslyn with the 2 Southern Railway 4 Ton wagons at the W&LR, ready for the journey home.

I've organised my YouTube page with Playlists:
so if you're only interested in the TLR you can view that playlist to find previous entries, and see how much the plans have changed since my very naïve start.
There's a playlist for other people's garden railways. The model railway shows & exhibitions playlist includes garden railway shows too.

Thank you to everyone who has joined today, AND since the page started, not that long ago.
I can't believe it but we have reached 500 people already. 🙏🏻 That is so exciting!

Welcome all!

Lord Taran doesn't like to complain about the weather, however it is stopping the trackbed. He is a kind employer and does not want his staff building in 35° heat, with 49% humidity. This does not mean of course he has given them a holiday. He has kindly set them on lighter duties. I'm sure we will all be keen to see the track bed laid and railway operations start.

Welcome to all the new TLR followers!
I appreciate you being here.

Due to the heat Lord Taran has set all staff on to light duties. So unlikely to be trackbed updates this week.

-----
2026 update
bear with, as once the line is connected there will be regular running sessions.

Meanwhile another pack of slate has been created by upcycling food containers... just need the wagon for it! (One final pack of slates & 2 wagons still to build.)
