⚓️ Ship Visit: Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ Bolette ⚓️
Last week I had the opportunity to step on board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ flagship, Bolette, while she was docked in Liverpool — and I was really impressed with what I saw! 🛳️
Bolette is one of Fred. Olsen’s three smaller ships, with just 690 cabins, which gives her a lovely spacious and relaxed feel. There are plenty of places to unwind, from elegant bars and lounges to theatres and wide open deck spaces.
I was able to view a range of cabins and was pleasantly surprised by how spacious they were. Many cabins also have a bath as well as a shower, which I thought was a lovely touch. 🛁
And of course, a ship visit wouldn’t be complete without trying the food! I enjoyed a delicious three-course lunch in the Bloomsbury Restaurant, with excellent service from the staff. 🍽️
One of my favourite features was the Lido Bar and swimming pool on Deck 8, which has a retractable roof, meaning the pool can be enjoyed whatever the weather and whatever time of year you choose to cruise. ☀️🌧️
Throughout the ship I found the style to be classic, elegant and comfortable, with plenty of space to relax both inside and out.
I was also really impressed with Fred. Olsen’s range of itineraries. There are some fantastic destinations and, for those of us in the north, you can sail from Liverpool, Newcastle and Rosyth, as well as Southampton — potentially making the journey to your cruise much easier.
Something else I discovered is that some Fred. Olsen itineraries include overnight stays in port, giving you the opportunity to spend longer exploring your destination and experience it after the usual day visitors have gone. 🌙
And finally, I discovered that Fred. Olsen also offers a customer satisfaction guarantee, which I thought was a fantastic added reassurance for anyone trying cruising with them for the first time.
Overall, I was really impressed with Bolette — the ship, the cabins, the food, the service and the staff all made a fantastic impression on me.
It’s definitely given me another cruise line to consider when helping my customers find the right cruise for them. 😊
