A trip to Wörth am Rhein that really puts things into perspective. 🚚

Our MD, Mark, and Head of planning, Ray, recently spent time at the Mercedes-Benz factory in Germany, and it’s fair to say they came back with a renewed appreciation for what goes into our fleet.

Seeing a site that spans 3 million square meters (roughly 400 football pitches) with over 10,000 employees manufacturing 470 vehicles every single day is a testament to incredible scale and operational precision. The highlight was undoubtedly seeing the future take shape: watching electric and diesel vehicles being built side-by-side on the same assembly line.

Photography was strictly restricted inside the production plant, so we couldn’t capture the inner workings, but we’ve included some shots of the site details, heritage models, and displays we toured during our visit.

Seeing that level of operational efficiency firsthand is a massive motivator for us here at Clarke Transport. We’re already looking at how we can apply some of that forward-thinking mindset to our own operations back home.
