Discover the Hidden World of Okehampton Station’s Signal Box

Have you ever wondered what’s happening in the Signal Box on Platform Three at Okehampton Station? Well, now is your chance to find out!

The Model Railway Section of Dartmoor Railway Association has been meticulously crafting a model railway depicting Okehampton Station and its surrounding area as it appeared in the 1960s.

Open Weekend: 19th-20th April 2025

Join us on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April from 10am till 2pm on both days.

Walkers and cyclists are being given advance notice that Meldon Viaduct near Okehampton will be completely closed for around three weeks in September for resurfacing.

The 150-year-old viaduct, which is part of the Granite Way walking and cycling trail, is due to be closed from Monday 9 September to Friday 27 September.

We hope everyone is enjoying the Easter holidays 🐣 and thank you all for keeping us so busy over Easter Weekend! 🪺
This weekend however is affected by rail strikes, due to this we’ll be open for a little bit of a shorter day on Saturday the 6th of April, 9am-3pm still serving our full menu and coffee and cake!

Please note that this Friday we'll be open 8am-10am for coffee and cake. It's very exciting times as we're getting new kitchen equipment fitted but we are sorry that it means we'll be closing early.
We'll be open as normal again from Saturday morning
8am-4pm, Kitchen open 9am-3pm.
