Had a very interesting day today in Chagford, whilst loading up in Lower Street we had a visit from the traffic warden who said we could not park their to load up, when i asked him where am i suppose to park then he said in a parking bay down the road or further up, the closes parking bays (which are not close) were took up, when i asked him how are we supposed to carry all the stuff from the house to down near to the school we would be doing it for hours, his reply was you should have thought of that when you took on the job, even the customer said that it was stupid, we all had a slight exchange with him but to no avail, he said if i did not move i would be given a ticket. I had permission from a house to park the van in their entrance to be more off the road so as not to cause an obstruction given anything large room to get pass, even the log lorry went passed twice, and the bus. How anybody is meant to do a job in Lower Street is beyond me all the houses that are there, i have never had this problem before when i have done work there over the years there has to be some leeway for loading or unloading. I have another job there in a couple of weeks so that will be interesting might have to get a parking fine and add it on to the bill?. Any suggestions. Smiler
