New van day.

The latest additions to our fleet. And another significant investment for us to both expand our parcel delivery coverage in argyll and to also increase our capability for goods we collect from glasgow and bring to Fort william and Oban for our customers.

Slight change of role for 6 of our drivers on Sunday. Swapping the bustle of Obans streets for the spotlight of The Corran Halls Catwalk supporting Helen and HLH Hirewear in the Argyll wedding fayre.

If we are being honest it looks like the guys enjoyed it far more than they let on. Who knows were this might lead.

GLASGOW TO OBAN AND FORT WILLIAM

After a successful trial, ODS can announce that it is now servicing both Oban and Fort William 3 days a week, every week.

We are Currently using our lwb sprinter panel van, however we have a brand new low loader luton on order, arriving in late march to allow us to fully take on the goods coming through.

From parcels to pallets, to furniture and more we can have it collected and brought to oban, fort william and everywhere in between.

Prices start from:
£8.95 per box
£40 per pallet
£80 large furniture goods
*all prices are plus vat*

Discounts for multi item orders or recurring orders.

We also have access to a glasgow based depot where goods can be delivered tp, allowing you to avoid excessive delivery charges to argyll.

Oban distributions drivers coming in on their day off to take the vans to the firestation car wash event today. The firefighters raising funds for the firefighters charity, a great cause and great to see so many coming in to donate.

**JOB OPPORTUNITY**

oban distribution are looking for a full time multi drop driver for immediate start.

Role.
The role of c+d multidrop driver is to deliver and collect goods from 1kg upwards to customers across our delivery area of oban and surrounding areas. A good level of Phsical fitness is required due to nature of the role. Further to the main role, general housekeeping with both company vehicle and warehouse is expected along wirh any other duties required in the day to day running of the business

Hours + pay.
The position is full time. 45 hours over 5 days Mon to fri. Saturday work is occasionally available and offered out as voluntary overtime. Hourly rate of £13.30 .

Qualifications.
Full uk driving licence required, no minimum age restrictions or driving experience required although some experience driving vans or larger vehicles would be advantageous.

Driving convictions for BA,CD,DD,DG,DR will not be considered for interview.

Holidays.
20 days annual leave + 8 days allocated throught the year for mandatory bank holidays.

Its a wrap for another year!!

Oban distribution wishes all our customers and friends a merry xmas and happy new year.

With our busiest peak season ever now finished (41.8k parcels in 4.5 weeks) we will be taking a short, but well earned break, returning to work on monday the 29th.

Thanks to everyone whos used our services this year, and thanks to all the drivers and drivers mates that have worked tirelessly this year to ensure that all our parcels get delivered on time.

Well xmas shopping is certainly under way.

It has been an extremely manic start to the peak season for us here at oban distribution. The parcel numbers are through the roof, and the weather has made it even more challenging, however the team have burst a gut and managed to deliver a staggering 8.7k items this week alone. Almost double the standard non peak workload. So a massive thankyou to all the drivers and warehouse staff for managing to clear the floor every day this week. What an effort.

We understand evey single parcel is important to our customers and we will always try our best to get them to you on time, however at this time of year it does become increasingly more challenging. However rest assured, We WILL get to every parcel, every house for you.
