PCV drivers — when did you last have the school holidays off?

We're looking for PCV Drivers to join Nottingham Coaches from August 2026.

✅ Monday–Friday shifts (mainly term-time)
✅ Your own regular route to look after
✅ Part time — 25 hours per week
✅ All holidays during school holidays — perfect if you've got children
✅ £13.00 per hour
✅ Overtime available between the school runs, at weekends and in the school holidays — £14.75 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.25 per hour at weekends

• Full PCV Licence
• Valid DQC Card
• A friendly, reliable attitude

"Everyone had a brilliant day!"

That's from a Year 6 trip organiser who booked us this July. She sent this over afterwards, and she's kindly let us share it.

"On the day the coach arrived 5 mins early at the agreed spot. The coach was clean and comfortable. The driver was excellent — handled the traffic on the way out of Nottingham, was patient while we got everyone loaded, checked in with us about the return time."

It's that last bit we're proudest of. Checking the return time before anyone has to ask takes about ten seconds, and it takes the worry out of the whole day — so it's how we run every school trip, not something you have to hope for.

"Why is their quote half of yours?" Fair question, and it's usually nothing to do with the mileage.
Coach hire is priced by the driver's day. Drop you off and come back later, and that's a couple of hours. Wait on site until you're done, and that's a driver and a coach tied up all day.
Two things that genuinely cost less: travelling between the school runs (out after 9am, back by 2.30pm), and the quiet months — January to March, September and November.

"What size coach do we need?" — easily the question we get asked most.

Minibus takes up to 16. Full coach takes up to 49.

But what if you're 20? That's where it gets interesting, and the answer
genuinely depends on the job. Two minibuses can be cheaper and cover
different pickup points. One coach keeps everyone together and gives you
the luggage space.
