SHE BROKE DOWN AT 4PM… AND AT 8:30PM THE CAR WAS STILL THERE! 😳🌍

Imagine your car suddenly becoming completely stuck on a busy roundabout, the wheels refusing to move, while traffic continues flowing around you.

Hours later, this gentleman walked over just to check if the stranded driver was okay. When he heard how long she had been there — and realised the car still hadn’t been recovered — his reaction said it all. 😨

🚨 PEUGEOT 2008 STRANDED ON A LIVE ROUNDABOUT! 🚨

This Peugeot 2008 automatic had broken down on the Long Eaton Asda roundabout, leaving it stuck in a live lane with traffic passing around it.

When BG Breakdown Recovery received the call, I arrived within 25 minutes. 🚛💨

This clip only shows what I found when I arrived and me waiting for the customer to return with the spare keys so I could safely start the recovery.

🚨 THIS RECOVERY JOB GOT CRAZIER EVERY MINUTE… 😳

We were called to recover an Iveco Daily after the passenger-side wishbone snapped at around 60mph, leaving the van stranded on a dangerous country road.

The driver had already spent 2½ hours in hi-vis warning traffic on the bend after being let down by another recovery company. When we arrived, he was exhausted and stressed — so before anything else, we gave him some water and a Yorkie. 💧🍫 Sometimes the little things make a massive difference.

Then the chaos continued… 🚜😳

Huge tractors squeezing through the recovery scene, a cone knocked over within minutes, and young riders on fast e-bikes coming through — including one frighteningly close encounter while we were working. ⚠️

With the broken suspension leaving the passenger side almost on the floor, this wasn’t a straightforward load. Using our experience, Slippery Jims and a central pull, we safely got the Iveco onto the truck and out of danger. 💪🚛

From 2½ hours stranded and stressed to finally being safely recovered.

Another job completed by BG Breakdown Recovery — we arrived to stress and left smiles behind. ❤️

🚨 JUST ANOTHER DAY AT BG BREAKDOWN RECOVERY… OR SO WE THOUGHT! 😂

We were called out to Bestwood, Nottingham, to recover a Ford Transit belonging to a lovely couple who run a cleaning business.

Simple recovery, right? Not quite. 😳

Within minutes we had an electric bike flying past ⚡, a quad rider doing an unbelievable wheelie, another driver broken down nearby with her husband coming to help — and to top it all off, we ended up at the traffic lights next to a car with an unmistakably strong smell of w**d coming from it! 👀😂

You genuinely couldn’t script this shift.

Through all the madness, the Transit was loaded, secured and delivered as planned. BG Breakdown Recovery — getting the job done and keeping you moving. 🚛💪

🌍🚨 VW Golf R vs a curb… the curb definitely won! 😳💥

We were called to recover this beautiful Golf R after a hard curb impact left the front wheel cracked and seriously damaged. 🛞💔

The good news? The rest of the car escaped without a scratch! 🙌 Considering the impact, this could have ended very differently.

We carefully loaded and secured the Golf R before transporting it safely to a trusted repair shop for new wheels and tires. 🚛💨

🚨 FROM A RAINY A52 RECOVERY TO A 172BHP MICRA WITH AN INCREDIBLE STORY… WHAT A DAY! 🚗💨

This job started on a wet A52 roundabout near Edwalton, where the driver of a 1998 Mazda MX-5 lost traction, spun out and hit the kerb hard enough to badly damage the rear passenger-side alloy. 🌧️😳

A huge thank you to the police officer who stopped the traffic and created a safe working area for us. That allowed BG Breakdown Recovery to get the MX-5 loaded safely and transported to a local garage for a replacement wheel and tyre. 👮‍♀️🤝🛻

We thought that would be the end of the story… we were wrong! 😂

At the garage we met Nottingham’s answer to Wakey Wines, which gave us a good laugh — and then we came across something that really caught our attention. 👀

A seriously quick Nissan Micra producing around 172bhp! 🔥

But the horsepower isn’t what makes this Micra special. Behind the car is an emotional story: the owner’s son sadly passed away, and his father now drives the car in memory of him, keeping his passion and memory alive. ❤️🙏

For anyone who loves cars, you know they’re sometimes much more than metal, engines and horsepower. Some cars carry stories, memories and people with them.

Today at BG Breakdown Recovery, what started as a normal job turned into an encounter we won’t forget. 💛

While dropping off, we came across this incredible Nissan Micra K11 — a car many people around Nottingham and Santa Pod may already recognise. 🏁🔥

At first, it was the car that caught our attention: the bright yellow bodywork, Simpsons artwork under the bonnet and a seriously wild engine setup. Then we heard the story behind it.

The Micra belonged to the owner’s son, who sadly passed away. His dad now continues to drive the car and take it out, keeping both the car and his son’s memory alive. ❤️

That completely changed the way we looked at it.

It’s not simply a fast modified Micra anymore. Every time his dad gets behind the wheel, he’s continuing something his son loved and making sure his story isn’t forgotten.

Cars can be more than metal, engines and horsepower. Sometimes they carry memories. Sometimes they carry a legacy. ❤️🏁

We got the call at BG Breakdown Recovery to collect a crashed Ford Transit tipper. Sounds like a normal accident recovery… until we heard the full story. 👀

The lady who called us works for her brother — and her other half is the one who crashed the van! 💥🤦‍♂️

Safe to say, recovering the Transit might have been the easiest part of this situation! 😂
