Landamores

Landamores was established in 1923 and quickly established a local and national reputation for quality boat building.

We are a traditional Norfolk boatyard offering boatbuilding, maintenance and marine services to the Norfolk Broads, and all over the UK. Landamores are the builders of classic launches including the Mayfly and Folic. We also build, refurbish, and maintain and variety of craft for our customers and do rigging for sailing boats (as well as architectural rigging). Landamores supports the local commun

ity with marine services including moorings, undercover storage, repairs/maintenance, engine servicing, and launching and recovery by crane or slipway from our waterside yard in Hoveton.

Can you imagine how thrilled the customers would have been when they arrived at the Boatyard to collect their boat for the week 🤩

So lovely to see our beautiful electric Frolic 31s in action, doing what they do best in the sunshine.

We have built a number of Frolic 31s which are designed for carrying up to 12 passengers & deliver a boating experience that is hard to match on our beautiful inland waterways.

There has been a lot going on at Landamores this week:

The very shiny Pearly Miss is back in the water for the summer ☀️

work is cracking on inside (and out) of the Frolic 36🪛🪚

and Tim is putting the finishing touches to Quackers ahead of her inaugural Three Rivers Race! Keep and eye out for them on Saturday and give Tim a wave ⛵️👋

Thank you to everyone who has sent messages of support this week following the fire at the weekend. We’ve greatly appreciated the support and are relieved to be carrying on with business (very nearly) as normal.

Toby has been making a new mast for ‘Cirrus’, a sailing cruiser originally built at Landamores and one we’ve always hand the pleasure of looking after. Alan varnished the mast & then Anthony and the guys made all new standard rigging.

Simon has been making bespoke cabinetry for the new Frolic 36. The main aim was for it to house the Coffee machine without it being on display, so we’ve hidden it away in a drawer and then turned the extra space into a drinks cabinet to hold glasses & bottles.
