I'm looking forward to my next and probably last event of 2026 - Eddingham is attending Wakefield RMS' 63rd exhibition in Queen Elizabeth Grammar School this weekend. I've got a fantastic roster of stock coming, including Harry 's class 90+MK3 set, 's class 180 and LUKR member Henry's Electrostar! See you there!

I've been working on myy layout again! No expansions this time I'm afraid but rather an improvement on one of the biggest bits of the layout. My station building is a bit plain and is in need of some TLC at the moment, so I figure now is the time to give it a big upgrade. I've added more detail to the roof, as well as some classic Victorian carved greebling on the end of the building, as well as some more texture to the walls. There's also a couple of new places I can rest the canopy on which should minimise how annoying it is to set up - I imagine that will require some in person playing with to make sure the canopy doesn't move. I'm also planning an interior, so I've mocked up some shop shelves including a staple of Bri'ish cuisine, the Meal Deal section. I'm hoping these will be somewhat visible through the skylights - if not, I might have to make the roof sections removable somehow.

So, as some of you are aware, the Brick Train Awards have been going on through September - I've not been paying too close attention as I've been rather burnt out from Lego after Bricks in the Roundhouse, and I only entered one thing. Turns out, the one thing won the "Best Other Loco" for Europe which took me by surprise - I'm currently being victoriously autistic around my house (my family are glad they aren't home). I didn't expect the 99 to win as from what I have seen the competition has been fierce, but I'm very happy it did as it's quite probably the best loco in my roster at the moment. It will be doing the rounds at Wakefield RMS' exhibition next weekend.

Congrats to all the other winners too, there's some amazing looking stuff on there that's giving me good ideas for future builds.

I've arrived back home after a fantastic weekend on the Laterem Counties Railway - the largest collaborative layout Eddingham has been a part of - and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the rest of the group for their hard work on their layouts and for supplying trains to fill said layout! I believe the layout route mileage came out to around 130 feet which is way bigger than I originally imagined when Block Junction and I originally applied way back 8 months ago. I look forward to the next time we're all out and about on the LCR!

We're almost set up at Bricks in the Roundhouse 2026! We've got a fantastic spot and some finishing touches left to do across 6 combined layouts before running trains across 30 metres of layout this weekend at Barrow Hill Roundhouse near Chesterfield. It's shaping up to be a fantastic weekend with lots of amazing builds, so come and say hi!

10am to 4pm both days!

Sometimes, it's nice to take it slow and savour the opportunuty to run trains on the fantastic layouts the LUKR has to offer. Other times, I'm taking it slow because Circuit Cubes don't have enough juice for me to drive at mach to whomever it concerns like I usually would. Here's some examples of the former - some of our slow Circuit Cube locos trundling through the Laterem Valleys at previous events.

Clip #1 is the Block Junction J70 and my Kitson No.5 on Billingate
Clip #2 is my 03 on Pilot duties through Eddingham
Clip # 3 is my WD on it's last run before overhaul and a Locomotion passing Eddingham's scenic section.

Welcome back to another episode of "Snails where Snails should not be", this time Network Snail has invaded exhibits at Edinbrick (consensually of course!) - there was lots of fantastic builds to molluscify!
