Trish has taken part in Race for Life since the very beginning after her sister, Noreen, died of breast cancer in 1992 ❤

Since then, she's been determined to raise life-saving funds for research and has even participated in a clinical trial to help power groundbreaking progress.

In 2019, Trish was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. After initially getting the all clear, Trish’s cancer has since come back and she’s currently undergoing chemotherapy.

Despite what she's going through, Trish completed her local Race this year alongside her three children and six grandchildren.

"My son Archie is my best pal, a little legend of a human and he's doing amazingly well now after recovering from cancer."

Archie was just two years old when diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), after being rushed to hospital on Christmas Day in 2019.

"Archie completed his treatment in May 2022, and the incredible staff at Lochranza ward had an official bell ringing ceremony for him," Andi, Archie's dad, told us, "It's thanks to research, Archie was able to stop treatment a year early. So this year, I Race for Life for Archie and for all children taking on this disease with tenacity and bravery.”

Andi, Archie and his family plan to take part in Race for Life Edinburgh in June. Join us and help raise money for life-saving research so more families, like Archie's, can spend more time together 💓
