I'm offering the opportunity for 1 or 2 qualified boatbuilders to join my business, preferably freelance but employment would be considered.
The focus of my operation is on the restoration and repair of traditional wooden boats, but also refits and light repairs to GRP boats.
As such, the ideal candidate would be trained or experienced in wooden Boatbuilding and repair techniques. But also have a understanding (or willingness to learn) of GRP care and repair, 12v electrical systems, marine plumbing, gas setups, boat control systems, marine engine service and installation (mechanical or engineering qualifications would be a bonus but not necessary), boat handling and have a valid full UK driving licence.
Most importantly, the candidate must conduct him/herself with a professional attitude, be enthusiastic about traditional craft, a willingness to work in a very small team, be trustworthy and reliable.
