We’re pleased to announce 'Stalham Steps', a new initiative designed to connect visitors arriving at Stalham Marina with the independent businesses and community groups in Stalham town centre.
New high-visibility signage has been installed at both the marina entrance and guest check-in area, showcasing a range of local businesses under the banner: “Stalham Steps - Connecting the Marina and Town Centre.”
The project aims to encourage holidaymakers and day visitors to explore beyond the marina and discover the shops, pubs, services and community venues located just a short walk away in Stalham.
The initiative was part-funded by the UK Government through the Shared Prosperity Fund, supported by North Norfolk District Council, and delivered in partnership with Norfolk County Council. Additional funding from Richardson’s Boating Holidays ensured there was no cost for participating businesses.
Our Chief Executive, Greg Munford, said:
“Stalham is fortunate to welcome tens of thousands of visitors to Richardson’s Marina each year. Stalham Steps is about strengthening the link between the marina and our high street – making it clear how close, walkable and welcoming our town centre is. We’re delighted that a wide range of local businesses and community groups are represented. This is a strong example of partnership working to support the local visitor economy".
