The North Pole Express will be steaming EVERYDAY from now until December 22nd!

An interesting bit of history that the Leek and Manifold engine was exhibited at the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Stockton and Darlington railway in 1975. I attended looking after 6960 Raveningham Hall but don’t remember seeing it. I don’t suppose it will go to the 200th anniversary next year.

This is the engine which started it all. No. 1 E. R. Calthrope a model of the engine which with its sister ran the Leek & Manifold Light Railway in Staffordshire until that line closed in 1934. Hopefully No.1 will be seen again at Trago soon
