Third Anniversary Notice for the late Bernadette Healy (née Lundy) R.I.P.

In loving memory of Bernadette Healy who passed away the 16th September 2023. A much loved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother in law, sister in law and aunt .

We sat beside your beside,
our hearts were crushed and sore;
we did our duty to the end,
till we could do no more.
In tears we watched you sinking,
we watched you fade away;
and though our hearts were breaking,
we knew you could not stay.
You left behind many aching hearts,
that loved you most sincere;
we never shall and never will,
forget the truly remarkable lady that you were.

Lovingly remembered and very deeply missed by your children Geraldine, Jim, Bernie, Sharon, Brendan and Pat.

Mummy’s anniversary mass will be celebrated on Wednesday the 16th of September at 7.30pm in St. Catherine’s church , Dominic Street, Newry .

Funeral notice for the late Carmel Green – R.I.P.

Green (née Kindlon), Carmel – R.I.P. 107 O’Neill Avenue, Newry. 30th August 2026, peacefully at home. Beloved wife of the late Artie, loving mother of Jimmy, Christina, Joanne, David and Claire, devoted nanny of Caitlin, Regina, Chloe and Lily, Orlaith, Cathal and Conor, Sean, Katie, Daithi, Rourke and Cillian and great-nanny of Rian and Riagain.

Carmel’s remains will repose at her late residence from 2pm today (Monday 31st August) until removal on Wednesday morning (2nd September) at 10.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s church, Newry. Burial afterwards in Monkshill cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Very deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, sons-in-law Rory and Mickey, daughters-in-law Marina and Cora and the extended family circle.

A year has passed since you left our side,
Yet every day, you’re in our thoughts and prayers.
We miss your smile, your warmth, your gentle ways,
And all the love and joy that filled our days.

Mc Donald, Oliver – R.I.P. 42 Dromliskin Court, Newry and formerly of Forkhill Road, Cloughoge, Killeavy. 25th August 2026, peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Beloved husband of Helena, devoted father of Sinéad, Caoimhe, Diarmaid and Orla, very much loved grandad of Fergus, Margot, Mealla, Ùisdean and Lyra, father-in-law of Jon, Hannah and Dan and dear brother of Mary, Kathleen and the late Peter.

Oliver’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Cloughoge, Newry BT35 8LZ this evening (Wednesday 26th August) from 7.30 pm until 9pm and tomorrow (Thursday 27th August) from 2-4pm and from 6-9pm. The funeral home is private on Friday morning to family only please. Oliver’s remains will leave the funeral home on Friday (28th August) at 1.15pm, travelling via St. Moninna Killeavy GAC for one last call at approximately 1.30pm and on to St. Joseph’s church Meigh, arriving for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Oliver will be very sadly missed by his family, friends and the community he loved so much.

Joe’s remains will repose at his sister Traci’s residence, 27 Parkview, Newtowncloughoge, Newry this evening (Tuesday 25th August) from 7-9pm and tomorrow (Wednesday 26th August) from 2-9pm. Removal on Thursday morning (27th August) at 11.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Beloved wife of the late Charles and loving mother of Sarah (Ignatius), Brian, Pauline (John), Teresa (Peter), Geraldine (Thomas), Charles, Catherine, Bridget, Bernadette, Michael and the late Mary.

Annie’s remains will repose at her late residence from 8pm this evening (Friday 21st August) until removal on Monday morning (24th August) at 11.15am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge. Burial afterwards in Jonesborough cemetery. Family, friends and neighbours are very welcome to visit the wake at any time to pay their respects.

Teresa’s remains will repose at her late residence this evening (Monday 17th August) from 6.30pm until 9pm and tomorrow (Tuesday 18th August) from 2-9pm. Campbell, Damien - R.I.P. 7 Cole Court, Newry. 14th August 2026, peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital, surrounded by his loved ones. Much loved husband of Mena, loving father of Anthony, Lee, Danielle and Jonny and a devoted Granda to his eight grandchildren.

Damien’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ on Sunday (16th August) and Monday (17th August) from 1-8pm each day. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday (18th August) at 10.30am in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, Newry. Private cremation service will take place later in Dublin.

Very deeply regretted by his loving wife, sons, daughter, grandchildren, brother Martin, sister Marion, son- in-law Patrick, daughters-in-law Karla, Siobhan and Emma and the extended family circle.
