🚨 Travel Update | Rødby–Puttgarden

Scandlines have advised that The Baltic Whale has been temporarily taken out of service on the Rødby–Puttgarden route due to technical issues.

The route is currently operating with the remaining three vessels, meaning reduced capacity and potentially longer waiting times at the ports, particularly for customers travelling without a booking.

ADR bookings scheduled on The Baltic Whale will be rebooked onto alternative departures.

We will continue share further updates as they become available.

Please allow extra time for your journey and plan ahead where possible.

Motis are pleased to be back on board as associate sponsors of this year's Down Rally. A relationship that has been going on for several years now. The event is run by our BDM Ryan Kearneys motorclub (Rathfriland Motorclub) based from the Boulevard in Banbridge.
The event kicks off with a ceremonial start Friday 21st from 6.30-8pm and stages all based between Banbridge and Castlewellan on Saturday from 8.30am.

It was an honour and a privilege for Motis to attend the annual Hanse Sail event in Rostock as guests of Scandlines

Hanse Sail was a fantastic opportunity to experience this incredible maritime spectacle first-hand, including the chance to sail aboard one of the tall ships on Friday evening alongside great company from across the industry.

Chris and Richard were also fortunate enough to sail from Rostock to Gedser aboard the MV Copenhagen, where they were given the opportunity to visit the bridge and engine and battery rooms.

It was a fascinating insight into how Scandlines continues to lead the way in efficient, more sustainable ferry operations, with its hybrid-powered and wind-assisted vessels, including Rotor Sail technology, helping to reduce carbon emissions.

A special thank you to Henrik Till and Kacper Klemczak for the invitation, warm welcome, fantastic hospitality and fascinating insight into Scandlines’ operations.

We’re proud of our long-standing relationship with Scandlines and look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership in the years ahead.
