I don’t tend to post a lot of deals but this 10 night twin centre island hopping itinerary staying at is too good not to shout about!

Domes Miramare is a five star, adult only retreat and a haven of Mediterranean chic, located in south Corfu. Domes Miramare oozes contemporary flair and Ioanian luxury that is hard to beat. Do you only go to a grocery shop when you need to do a monthly shop? No. You probably pop in and buy just a pint of milk sometimes? Would you only go to a florist when you need flowers for a wedding? No. You may buy a small bunch of flowers from time to time.

Great news. The FCDO has removed* restrictions on travel to Jordan
Home to ancient monuments, nature reserves and seaside resorts. Jordan also has the famed archaeological site of Petra, the Nabatean capital dating to around 300 B.C. Set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments carved into the surrounding pink sandstone cliffs, Petra earns its nickname, the “Rose City.”

Famed for its dramatic copper-red dunes, towering sandstone mountains, and 12,000 years of prehistoric rock art, it is an iconic destination located about an hour’s drive from the coastal town of Aqaba.

UK passport holders, if you’re travelling this summer, please check your passports. If you still use an older maroon passport and you’re travelling to Europe this is especially important.

The 10-Year Rule:
Your passport must have been issued less than 10 years before your date of arrival. (Note: If you renewed your current passport early, extra months might have been added to your passport’s expiry date, making the issue date the critical factor).
The 3-Month Rule:
Your passport must have at least 3 months of validity remaining after the day you intend to leave Europe.

If your UK passport is damaged—such as having torn pages, watermarks, or peeling laminate—you must replace it, as it will likely be rejected at border control.

For safeguarding reasons the 1-day premium service is not an option for children’s passports. The 1-week fast track service is the fastest you can use.
You must book an appointment at a passport office, bring original documents, and pay £192 (£206 for a 54-page passport). The passport is delivered to your home by courier 1 week after your appointment.

Please check ahead of time and apply ASAP if you need new passports for travel this summer. Airlines and tour operators will not permit free changes or cancellations based on inability to get passports in time, so don’t be caught out

Last full day exploring Nice and the weather is perfect again. Wandering in the Cour Saleya market is lovely and now in a shady spot in Place Charles Felix watching the world go by.
It’s been a wonderful week and there’s so much more to see, I will definitely be back and won’t leave it so long the next time.
If you’re looking for a fantastic mix of sunshine, culture, shopping and gastronomy and just a short flight from the UK, I absolutely recommend it.

The weather in Nice this afternoon is far from, well, nice, so what do you do when the Riviera skies turn grey?

Nice is still a dream.

A few photos from Monaco. So simple to get to by train from Nice-Ville station and a very pretty train ride along the coast line.
Grand Prix preparations for this upcoming weekend were in full swing, and albeit impressive (especially if you’re an F1 fan) it was hard to get the full Monaco “experience”.

Today is 100% about relaxation, soaking up some vitamin D and listening to the sound of the sea…
Nice doesn’t have a sandy beach, and to get the extra comforts of quality sun loungers and parasols most opt for a beach club, but which do you choose? Going to the beach in Nice is not the cheapest pass time so it pays to do a bit of research.

in my opinion is perfect. Le Galet (translates as The Pebble in English) is, laid-back and relaxing with Mediterranean inspired cuisine and beautifully appointed.

Dependent on the beach club, the cost of a lounger starts at €25 per day (often with parasol and towel hire extra) going up to €75 per person in some cases. Also the closer you get to the shoreline, the more expensive it will be. Also it is forbidden to bring your own food to a private beach, so factor in the cost of a meal and drinks, but the comfort and convenience is well worth it in my opinion, it’s a real treat day!

Sites like www.mysunbed.com can be used to prebook at some beaches and get costs ahead of time.
