🚛 European Transport Changes Are Coming 🚛

From July 2026, tachograph regulations will apply to many vans operating internationally across Europe. A lot of operators are only now waking up to what these changes mean, but Europa Xpress Ltd has already prepared for the future.

Our vehicles are already fitted with tachographs, and our drivers have extensive tachograph knowledge and experience gained from years in the HGV sector. Compliance isn't something we're rushing to implement at the last minute – it's already part of how we operate.

Despite the changes, we can still offer dedicated, time-critical deliveries across the UK and Europe. Using a double-manned team where required, we can continue to provide next-day delivery to most of Northern Europe while remaining fully compliant with the regulations.

The days of simply pointing a van towards Europe and hoping for the best are rapidly coming to an end. Compliance, experience and planning will become more important than ever.

Another busy week completed at Europa Xpress Ltd with runs covering Ireland, London x2, Bo’ness Scotland x2 and Northampton.

A new pharmaceutical customer also came on board this week with a London to Ireland movement requiring dedicated temperature-controlled transport. As the market changes and businesses look closer at costs, even larger pharmaceutical companies are now looking for reliable value-for-money transport providers that can still deliver the standards required for sensitive shipments.

At Europa Xpress Ltd we approach pharma work the same as any other professional transport movement — direct, compliant, properly handled and delivered on time.

A steady week all round with plenty of miles covered and customers kept moving without disruption.

Last couple of weeks have been full on at Europa Xpress Ltd — to the point we’ve actually had to turn work away.
Runs covered Spain, Belgium, Holland, Ireland x2, London x2, Bordeaux France, Paris and 3 trips into Scotland, all completed without missing a beat — not without issues though, and plenty of lessons learned along the way.
Proper graft, adapting as things come at us, but everything delivered as it should be.
This week is a bit quieter — and honestly, that’s welcomed after the pace we’ve been running at.

Back at it Monday with London and Belgium already booked in to get things moving again.

A bit of frustration mid week.

Turned up for a booked job today only to find it had already been cancelled the day before — despite everything being confirmed. This was a forwarder job, ferry booked to Ireland, driver allocated, full shift planned… all for nothing.

To make matters worse, we still had to cover **150 miles to the collection point**, meaning this has still cost them **around half the total job value** — all completely avoidable with proper communication.

In this industry, communication is everything. When loads are cancelled or moved without notice, it doesn’t just cause inconvenience — it creates real cost, lost time, and wasted resources.

This is exactly why **direct contact with your transport provider matters**. When you deal directly with the courier, communication is clear, accountability is there, and things get done properly. Too often, these issues arise when jobs pass through multiple hands — and that’s where mistakes, delays, and unnecessary costs creep in.

We pride ourselves on reliability, clear communication, and doing the job right first time.

That said, we move on — and focus on working with partners who value a **direct, professional approach**.

A slightly quieter week here at Europa Xpress Ltd, which seems to be the case across parts of the transport sector at the moment. With fuel prices creeping up again, many companies appear to be holding back or consolidating loads, which can slow things down temporarily.

That said, logistics never stays quiet for long.

Next week is already looking much busier. We’re pleased to be carrying out work again for a long-standing customer from years back, which is always great to see — good working relationships in this industry tend to come full circle.

Alongside that, we’re also preparing to start working with a new customer who looks set to become a regular France run, something we are very much looking forward to as European work continues to build again.
