Graduation Day! 🎓

Congratulations to our latest group of delegates completing their 5‑week Firefighter Initial Course last week, with trainees joining us from Newcastle, Glasgow Prestwick, and Cardiff Airport.

A special well‑done to Jake Carr from Cardiff, who was awarded the Silver Axe for best recruit firefighter.

We had a fantastic day celebrating our graduates and their achievements alongside their friends and family!

Our ROC (Revalidation of Competence) programme provides any Airport Fire Service the opportunity to revalidate the CAP 699 units and elements that can’t be carried out at their own aerodrome.

Designed to keep RFFS personnel fully competent, the ROC programme meets the requirements of CAA CAP 699 and ICAO Annex 14, with mandatory refresher training that includes:
🔥 Live fire drills
🫁 Breathing apparatus use
📟 Incident command

All built to maintain skills, strengthen confidence and uphold the highest safety standards.
