🚍 What a week it was… 20th–24th July! 😄

Our Sailing & Steaming – Shropshire & North Wales tour had a bit of everything… including the Shearings Marketing Team joining us for part of the adventure! 📸

From enjoying cream tea and the Sabrina Boat in Shrewsbury, travelling on the Welshpool and Llanfair Light Railway, taking in the spectacular Horseshoe Pass, exploring my hometown of Wrexham, and finishing with the beautiful Llangollen Horse-Drawn Boat, it really was a week to remember.

Of course… it wouldn’t be one of my tours without a few extra adventures…

🧭 A feeder route that even the sat nav questioned.
🧳 A suitcase that clearly fancied a boat holiday of its own.
🛴 The British Mobility Grand Prix through Shrewsbury (with the Marketing Team there to witness it! 🤣).
🚕 An Uber, a mobility scooter and a walking frame… don’t ask!
🐴 I even considered asking if we could take the coach down the canal… apparently the horse wasn’t keen!
🐰 Ducks and rabbits supervising the hotel like they owned the place.

Despite all the laughs, the most important part was that every passenger returned home safely with smiles, plenty of memories and, thankfully, the suitcase eventually decided to come home too!

A huge thank you to our fantastic passengers, the brilliant team at The Lion Quays Resort, the Shearings Marketing Team for sharing the journey with us, and everyone behind the scenes who made another fantastic holiday possible.

🎉 OH WHAT A WEEK… BACK IN ’26! 🎉

🌊🚍 What an absolutely incredible few days we’ve had exploring the breathtaking beauty of Llandudno and the spectacular North Wales Coast! 💙

This week wasn’t just about another fantastic holiday—it was about teamwork too. We were proud to support our operational friends, helping ensure another successful tour while doing what we love most… getting people away to make memories that will last a lifetime. 🤝💙

From the Victorian charm of Llandudno’s famous promenade to the towering peaks of Snowdonia, the mighty castles of North Wales, picturesque seaside towns and unforgettable coastal views, every single day brought a new adventure.

🌄 We climbed mountains…
🚂 Travelled on one of Britain’s most iconic mountain railways…
🏰 Explored historic towns and castles…
🌊 Followed some of the UK’s most stunning coastline…
😂 Shared plenty of laughs…
❤️ And created memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to every one of our amazing passengers. Your smiles, laughter, stories and fantastic company are what made this holiday so special. It was never just about the places we visited—it was about the wonderful people who shared the journey.

🚌 Guess who paid us a little visit over the weekend…

LJI rolled into the yard for a well-earned rest before setting off on another adventure with our good friends at Shearings Holidays.

After a deep clean by the girls (thank you, as always! 🙌), she’s now looking showroom ready and all set to carry 48 passengers… and one woofing good, cuddly coach mascot – aka Tourist Ted! 🧸🐶

Although Little Boss did briefly mistake the jet wash for a giant water gun and decided Daddy was the intended target! 💦😂 Let’s just say I got an unexpected shower before the coach did!

This week’s adventure takes us to the stunning landscapes of Snowdonia and North Wales, with our home for the week being the beautiful seaside town of Llandudno. From mountain railways and historic castles to picturesque coastal views, it’s shaping up to be another fantastic Shearings holiday.

Now it’s time to load the luggage, top up the coffee, fire up the engine and hit the road. We’re looking forward to another week of creating memories, sharing plenty of laughs, and making sure all 48 passengers enjoy a safe, comfortable and hassle-free holiday.

Here’s to another week of smiles, spectacular scenery, and hopefully no one asking, “Driver… are we nearly there?” just five minutes after leaving! 😄

Let’s be honest… the kids are back at school, the roads are a little quieter, and suddenly Britain remembers how beautiful it really is!
