One of our new Schmitz Euroliners on its way back to the UK with a full load of High Consequnce Dangerous Goods for one of our customers. The trailers were collected during the August holidays and are to provide additional capacity on our Italian grosgrain service. The versatility and build quality on these trailers is fantastic. We are grateful to Schmitz for these high spec trailers and their rapid delivery. These ADR equipped trailers offer up to 3m internal height and are perfect for all of our customers moving full load and groupage between the UK and Italy. They are destined to pass through the Swiss Alps twice a week.... what a life....

Our oldest Euro 5's filling up in Lux after her weekly run to Italy. Parked alongside is one of Mr Irlams Volvo FH's. You will have seen our latest trucks are the Volvo FH 500. The Volvo are achieving a fuel saving of between 5-7ltrs / hundred km when compared to the DAFs. 10 years ago we would say how much money that saved but in 2023 it seems more current to point to the 770 kg less carbon emitted on each UK - Italy roundtrip! Once we have completed our fleet renewal we will be emitting 250,000 tons of carbon a year less. (I had to do the maths twice because that figure astonished me)

It's been such a busy month I hadn't had the time to show off the new additions to our European fleet. Better late than never, here they are. 3 Volvo FH42T 500HP. Supplied by Vladimir Valjent of Volvo Group Slovakia s.r.o. These superb vehicles are already engaged with our UK - Italy and Europe work. They are all ADR equipped and are pulling 13.6m, sliding and lifting roof euroliners. I hope our customers appreciate them as much as my drivers seem to be doing.
