A position has arisen for a full time experienced HGV technician. Carrying out repairs and maintenance on our fleet in compliance with current legislation and to work with other members of staff currently employed in our workshop.
About the role
Helping to ensure the fleet is maintained to the highest standard and that the workshop operates in a compliant manner
To carry out service and maintenance of trucks and trailers which include tautliners / low loaders / tankers and car transporters
Helping to ensure that all vehicles and trailers are presented to a test station for MOT in a high standard so to maintain the Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS)
Helping to ensure safety standards are implemented and followed to maintain full compliance with legislation
be responsible for all paperwork to accurately completed
Qualifications and Experience
Must have completed a recognized Heavy Vehicle qualification (i.e. City and Guilds or NVQ)
Must have a proven track record of commercial vehicle repair
Dealer experience is preferred but not esential
Full UK driving licence and HGV 1 licence
