🚛 WE ARE HIRING – HGV HIAB DRIVER🚛

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced HGV HIAB Driver to join our team.

The role will involve operating our HIAB vehicles on a variety of work across Scotland and further afield when required.

We’re looking for someone who has:
• HGV Class 1 licence
• HIAB / lorry loader experience
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of load security and safe lifting operations
• A professional and reliable approach to work
• Flexibility to work away from home when required

Experience with abnormal or specialist loads would be advantageous.

💙🤍❤️A new special edition for a new contract❤️🤍💙

Introducing Robert Burnie Hunter Barclay, the latest addition to the Barclay & Daughters fleet, ready to get to work on our new contract in Aberdeenshire.

This one carries a little bit of family history with it.

Steven’s grandfather, Robert, was born on 3rd June 1920 in Keig, near Alford, the youngest of six children. His mum later moved with him to Fortrose, where she sadly passed away when Robert was just six years old, leaving him orphaned. He was then placed in the poorhouse at Fortrose.

Robert was later chosen by Mr Mackay to be raised as his son although he was never formally adopted and remained a Barclay.

Granda Robert was Steven’s first idol and someone who had a huge influence on him growing up. It therefore seems only fitting that more than a century after Robert was born in Aberdeenshire, his name will be travelling those roads again on the front of one of our lorries as we begin our new Aberdeenshire contract.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support our Open Day on Saturday!

It was fantastic to welcome so many visitors, customers, friends, family and members of the local community. We were delighted to have the opportunity to showcase our business, meet new faces and catch up with familiar ones.
