📅 Our Doors Open Day is set to return on Saturday 26 September from 11:00 – 15:00 and we’ve got a jam-packed agenda in store for our visitors!

While entry is free, donations to our Charity of Choice, Age Scotland, will be gratefully accepted and we’ll have card readers and donation buckets both on the door and throughout the event. Please give generously and help us support their work on behalf of older people across Edinburgh and the Lothians!

We’re delighted to be working with a wide range of partners, too, at this year’s event. See below for some of what visitors can expect to see, do and visit on the day ⤵️

⚠ Due to sewer repair works, Waterloo Place will be closed westbound from Monday 7 September for approximately 11 weeks.

Between Abbeyhill and Princes Street, Services 106, 113, 124, X4, X5, X6 and X7 will be diverted via London Road, Leith Street, York Place, North St David Street and South St David Street heading westbound only.

Eastbound services will operate as normal but will be unable to serve the stop at Waterloo Place which has been closed due to the works. A temporary stop at Calton Hill will be in place.

Between Abbeyhill and Princes Street, Services N107, N113 and N124 will be diverted via London Road and Leith Street heading westbound only.

📢 Customer Information

Our Musselburgh TravelHub will close from Saturday 12 September due to a reduction in customer demand.

The TravelHub has operated every Saturday, but increased use of contactless payments and our ticketing app mean fewer customers are now using the hub.

Customers who require Ridacard top-ups can do so at any shop with PayPoint. For new or replacement Ridacards, please visit our Waverley Bridge (open 6 days a week) or Shandwick Place TravelHubs (open 5 days a week) in the city centre.

📢 As reported yesterday, Princes Street is due to reopen tomorrow (Saturday 29 August) and buses will resume operation along this section of Princes Street from start of service.

Please note that due to ongoing works around the site of the building fire, there will be some changes to East Coast Buses bus stopping patterns on Princes Street as follows:

Services X4, X6, X7, 106, 113 and 124 will not serve stop [PD] until further notice and will instead serve stop [PC].

Customers are encouraged to continue checking the latest service updates on our website, the Bus & Tram app and social media channels, and are advised to allow extra time for travel while services are being reinstated across our network.

We would like to thank our customers and colleagues once again for their patience, understanding and support throughout this period of disruption.
