EM Gauge NE & Borders area group The North East Area Group of the Eighteen Millimetre Gauge Society.

We are a group of like minded modellers who meet, roughly once a month in the North East of England, Generally Northumberland and over the Scottish Border in Berwickshire.

North East & Borders group members layout Roundtrees Sidings EM Gauge layout won Best in Show at the Rainhill exhibition over the weekend. Following on from winning the Chairman's trophy at Falkirk exhibition last November. Not bad for a layout started 20 years ago with over 11 years on the circuit. Lots of interest in EM especially from some younger people.

First meeting of the year is this Sunday afternoon at Stannington village hall off the A1 south of Morpeth Northumberland

Been a bit quiet recently. However progress is slow and steady on a new EM gauge layout being built at the Blyth and Tyne club.
Here's an old Lima 31 still going strong after years in storage and a bit of TLC. Who needs DCC sound when you can have growling gears🙄
