Owning a share in one of our luxurious narrow boats will give you holidays every year for life at a fraction of the cost of hiring. In actual fact, it is near impossible to find hire boats that are equivalent to what we offer, as our boats include a

bow thruster, 240v electricity and a washing machine/ tumble drier as standard and some also include a dishwasher. Not to mention the superb quality hull that attracts admiring looks and comments at every lock! And when you consider that if you decide to hang up your windlass for good, you can sell your share and get a substantial amount of your purchase monies back; this is by far the most sensible and economical way to get afloat. Carefree Cruising is THE complete shared ownership company. We are run and staffed by boating enthusiasts who understand just what canal lovers want from their narrow boats and their narrow boat holidays. By building our own boats we are able to ensure quality workmanship at every stage of the build. Cutting out the boat builder's profit means we can sell superb quality boats at value prices our competitors find difficult to match. We operate a 24 hour, 365 day support service, giving you the peace of mind that in the unlikely event of you encountering a problem whilst cruising, help will be at hand, promptly and efficiently. We also offer you complete peace of mind with our optional guaranteed buy-back scheme.

It’s that time of year again, off to Crick Boat Show 2026 with our two trusty trailers, displaying Carefree Cruising Boatshare Limited share boats, Boatfinder brokerage’s new and used boats as well as Narrowboat Life Unlocked new boat NB Dexter’s Star. She will also be on her way early next week. Thank you so much to Ortomarine and Middlewich Narrowboat Services for the work they have completed on this state of the art, electrically propelled, hand crafted narrowboat. We look forward to showing you around next weekend.
