Last job of the day,
(well I have an NCAP ✈️ later but that’s technically tomorrow🤷‍♂️)
Today took me to Redcar twice, one for a care home to JCH and back and another with a regular couple for Fish ‘n’ Chips and back to Brookfield. A MS meeting in The Neptune and the usual day centres. I did have a Saltburn cancel last minute and the lovely lady insisted on paying which of course I refused, after a lot of two,ing and fro,ing we settled on half !! 🤷‍♂️
To end the day, a lovely Family from Guisbrough up to Rockcliffe for MFC Foundation tour and meet and greet with some of the players

Woodside Dementia Hub, A care home transfer in Redcar, a lovely couple for lunch in Gt Ayton, Tees Valley Hospital and Billingham for physio and all back, before dinner. Prior Pursgrove Collage Guisbrough this afternoon, Chess in Billingham and Darlington Hippodrome tonight !!!

Another day over and 1 day closer to 8 off !!
A good bit of business today and good to be dealing with people who understand the importance of what the students needs when it comes to SEN transport. Nice to meet people behind the e mails and a bit of Parent Power as well !!
No procurement or NEPO getting involved, no bidding, no give it to the cheapest to save money, no one sat behind a desk deciding who gets what !!
Today was about what the student and the parents want. I was asked the cost for the next couple of year and it was authorised straight away and put in place
“Don’t worry about it while you’re away John, we’ll sort something. Enjoy your holiday and we’ll see you on the 23rd !!”
Easy as that !!

Afternoon everyone. Day 2 of wind down week at Ablecabs. Early start this morning at NCAP ✈️ then home to 3 day centres then 2 care homes covering Yarm, Ingleby, Coulby. Stainton and Nunthorpe. Not a lot (if any) availability for the rest of the week !! Still 4 airports to get back home myself and a couple outbound I’ve had to cover. A nice steady away week before I go away ✈️🏝️🌞
