We do love a project! 🚌🔧

Work has officially begun on the renovation of K26, our Scania Berkhof and she’s going to undergo quite the transformation!

She’ll be completely stripped out before being fitted with new seats and new interior panels, followed by a fresh new paint job. We’ve got some exciting plans for her and can’t wait to show you the progress along the way!

K26 will always be a particularly special bus to me, as she’s the one our little kittens were found on 🐾❤️

There’s a lot of work ahead, but we’re so excited to give this lovely old girl a new lease of life. Watch this space! 👀🚌✨

⚠️ ROUTE 435 UPDATE – MORNING PICK-UPS 🚌

Due to Nottinghamshire County Council’s closure of Nottingham Road between Nether Broughton and Hickling Pastures, the following temporary arrangement will remain in place until the end of Wednesday 9 September:

📍 Passengers from Upper Broughton and Hickling Pastures should make their way to Hickling village for the morning 8.21 am pick-up, wherever possible.

Unfortunately, we cannot collect from Nether Broughton as this is not a timetabled pick-up point.

As the road closure was planned for nine days, we could have arranged to divert the route consistently throughout this period, regardless of whether the road was temporarily open at certain times. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to put this arrangement in place by Nottinghamshire County County beforehand.

We have asked Nottinghamshire County Council why these works were not carried out during the school summer holidays. The closure and its timing are outside Central Coaches’ control, but we are doing everything we can to keep the service running and minimise disruption for our passengers.

Please direct any complaints regarding the roadworks to Nottinghamshire County Council.

⚠️ 435 ROUTE UPDATE – DIVERSION 🚌

Please be aware that Nottingham Road is closed again between Nether Broughton and Hickling Pastures, so the 435 will be operating on a diversion.

📍 Hickling Pastures students
Will be dropped off at Hickling Village at approximately 3:45pm

📍 Upper Broughton students
Will be dropped off at Nether Broughton Village Hall at approximately 4:00pm

Please could parents/carers make arrangements to collect students from these alternative drop-off points where necessary.

We apologise for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

🚌✨ September means everyone is back to school! ✨🚌

‼️ would you share this post so we can get all parens, carers & students following please ‼️

What a first week back it’s been! 😂 Between road closures, temporary traffic lights and disruption on our South Wolds school runs, it’s certainly kept us on our toes.

We thought it would be helpful to share the school services we’re operating this year and make it a little easier for parents and students to stay up to date.

📱 Follow Central Coaches on Facebook & Instagram and, if we’re made aware of any significant delays, road closures or changes affecting our school services, we’ll pop an update on our stories.

Our drivers always do everything they reasonably can to keep our services running safely and on time but sometimes traffic, roadworks and unexpected hold-ups are simply beyond our control. We’ll always do our best to keep you informed and get everyone where they need to be. ⭐️

And because school buses seem to have a magical ability to collect forgotten belongings 😂 if your child leaves something behind, just message us through Facebook or Instagram. Most of the time, our drivers will find it and pop it safely at the front of the bus ready to be collected on the next run. 🎒🧥💧
