🌿🍯 CANDLE QUESTION 🍯🌿

Now the weather has finally cooled down and half of Melton has stopped Melton-ing… we can probably talk about candles and wax melts again. 🥵😂🕯️

Because let’s be honest, during that heatwave nobody was sat there thinking:

“Do you know what this room needs? More warmth.” 🤣

Anyway…

I came across a Lavender & Honey candle and thought it sounded lovely. Soft, sweet, calming… very pretty. 🌿🍯

But obviously my next thought was:

“What would I add to it?” 🤔

Because apparently leaving a scent alone is far too sensible.

So now I’m being nosy…

Beast 2 is still at the garage. 🚛🔧

Nothing major, thankfully. Just a small specific part that needs ordering from a specialist, because apparently breaking down in a simple and convenient way was not dramatic enough for her. 🙃

So this week we hired a van, moved jobs around, squeezed what we could into the diary, and carried on as best we could. 🚐📦💪

Cinderella has been supervising Momma while all of this has been sorted. 🐾

As you can see, she has taken the role very seriously.

She has:
🐱 judged quietly
🐾 offered no solutions
😴 slept through most of it
📞 refused to answer the phone
👑 acted like senior management
🤣 and fully supported blaming David

David says this is unfair.

The board disagrees. 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱

Hopefully Beast 2 will be back with us Monday and we can return to our usual version of D&E madness. 🚛✨

Until then, Cinderella remains in charge.

Well… we have had a new D&E first today 🤣🚛🤦‍♀️

David has just got home and casually informed me that he managed to get himself locked in the back of the van 😂👏

Yes. The back of the van.

The van he works with all the time.

The van he is meant to be in charge of.

Thankfully, our labourer and who we were working with were on hand to rescue him before he had to start a new life in there amongst the straps, blankets and general removals chaos 🚛📦🤣

I would love to say this surprises me.

It does not.

This is exactly why I should never leave him unsupervised 😂👀

So if anyone needs removals, clearances, collections, furniture moving, or apparently emergency boss extraction services… you know where we are 🤣🚛

It has been a busy one full of clearances, removals, collections, quotes, admin, invoices, waste transfer notes, heavy lifting, problem solving, loading, unloading, sorting, sweating, and the usual behind-the-scenes chaos 😂🤦‍♀️🚛💪

But then messages like these come through… and honestly, they make every bit of it worth it ❤️🥹

Well… today has not gone to plan 🤣🤦‍♀️🍷✨

Yesterday I jumped on a clearance job with David for the first time in ages, fully intending to write a post about his failed supervision skills 👀🚛💪🤣

Unfortunately, after one day back on the tools, I am now aching, tired, and clearly should not be trusted with admin 😂🤦‍♀️🫠📱

While arranging a free face-to-face quote today, I accidentally offered a lovely customer an appointment between 11am and 12am ⏰🤣🙈

Thankfully, they had a brilliant sense of humour and replied that 12pm would be fine, but 12am might be a little too early 😂👏⏰✨

So yes… for once, David gets to laugh at me 🤣🙄👏

I have now retreated upstairs with a glass of w**e to recover from the shame 🍷😂🫠

Sadly for David, he does not get the same luxury tonight, as tomorrow is another busy day with multiple jobs booked in 🚛💪📦♻️🏠

So if anyone needs me, I’ll be supervising from a safe distance 👀😇🍷

Preferably with w**e. Obviously. 🍷🤣✨

A little update on where some of your donated items go ❤️

When we're carrying out house clearances, anything that can be reused doesn't automatically have to become waste. Where possible, we donate suitable items so they can go on to raise money for Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland.

It means things that are no longer needed can still do some good — helping support local older people rather than simply being thrown away.

Apparently, the hubby deserves to be Employee of the Month again because, according to one of our regular clients, the cats aren’t pulling their weight. 😂

Well… they may have a point.

This is Rebel Mania, the hubby’s mini-me, caught hard at work doing exactly what they both do best — sleeping. 😴

The hubby lost his title last month after having the bloody cheek to take a night off, but with competition like this, he might actually stand a chance of winning it back.
