Junk Model Village 🏡♻️

Join us for another relaxed SEND family craft afternoon - this time we’re getting creative with junk modelling!

Bring along your children and your recycling box and let’s see what we can build together. Boxes, tubes, cartons, bottle tops… if it looks like it could become something, bring it along! 😂

We might even have a go at creating our own model village, with some recognisable local buildings and landmarks thrown in. 🏡⛪🏰

This session is especially welcoming for children with SEND and their families. There’s no pressure, no expectations and no right or wrong way to join in. Come as you are, work at your own pace, take breaks when you need to, and enjoy a relaxed, supportive environment.

✨ Flexible
✨ Parent/carer stays with their child
✨ No experience needed
✨ All materials provided... but feel free to bring your own recycling treasures!
✨ Come along for as little or as long as you like

We know that forward planning isn’t always easy, so there’s no need to book. If you’re able to let us know you’re hoping to come, it really helps us make sure we have enough resources for everyone. Just drop us a message! 💚

Because creativity should be fun, messy and accessible for everyone! ♻️🎨✨

Doctor in the house!!
At our Stroke Support Group today Dr Harry Keevil from the Royal Derby Hospital gave us an excellent talk on the history & process of developing new treatments to treat TIAs and Strokes.
We were shocked that even in the 1960’s there was no treatment available & how many options have been developed since then!
Harry is also a Research Fellow, and as part of his PhD, he is looking for people aged 65-85 (you don’t need to have had a stroke) to take part in research, using a blood pressure machine, to look at protecting your brain 🧠
If you are interested in taking part, then please get in touch with Harry using his details on the flyer ⭐️
He has kindly offered to come back again to talk to our group and we really appreciate his time ⭐️
