Models Galore!!
You never know when you’ll need this……..
We now have a mobile defibrillator on our minibus! With thanks to the East Midlands Airport Community Fund 🎉
We hope it’ll never be needed, but it’s good to know we have it to hand if a minibus passenger or member of the public becomes unwell.
Due to the minibus key being locked away, in a locked office, behind locked gates when we are closed, the other defibs in the village would be available with a code from 999.

We are partnered with Cadent to run a ‘Centres for Warmth’ project.

Most of our ‘usual suspects’ on our free weekly minibus shopping trip to The Co-operative Food - Castle Donington ❣️
Since their cafe closed, the staff are amazing and bring them free tea and coffee so they can still sit and chat after shopping has been done 🫶 They enjoyed celebrating John’s 95th birthday 🎈
3 volunteers a week make this happen on a weekly rota….minibus driver, bus es**rt and a shop es**rt. Thank you for supporting us to make this happen 🥰

Great news!!!!
On Saturday the Allotment Society held their annual Produce Show hosted by Melbourne Parish Church, Derbyshire, and all proceeds have been donated to Community Care.
Drum roll………..!!!!!
£1057!!!! This is absolutely amazing and thank you to everyone that took part and organised it! Special thanks to Rachel, Louise & Hamper Queen Jenny, and to the Church 🫶And of course to Hilly Fields & Blackwell Lane allotment growers 🥕
We truly appreciate you supporting Community Care 🥰

We’re really looking forward to the Produce Show tomorrow 😀
We’ve got a tombola and there’s a raffle, quiz and lots of lovely produce that will be auctioned off at the end of the day.
Claire will be there and is always happy to talk to potential new volunteers too!

This is a fabulous community event for all growers, bakers and jam makers 🌳🌽🌺

Now held at Melbourne Parish Church and all proceeds go to our wonderful Community Care.

This event has been going for many years and celebrates Melbourne and its growers !
