Happy customers and lots of storage!!!

This week has been a strange one here at Crown Square in that every job we've done has involved moving our customers possessions either into or out of storage.

In the (almost) six years we've been up and running we've made good relationships with a number of local storage companies including Matlock Storage, Storage 2000 in Wessington, Morris Container Storage in Chesterfield and Quick Storage in Ambergate, all of which we visited at some point this week!

Our week included -

👑 Moving a van full of big tool cases and associated bits and bobs from Lea to storage (check out the cars that are sold right next to this storage location 😃)

👑 2 days helping move customers from their house on the Via Gelia to Ambergate Storage

👑 A day relocating items from Cromford to both a house in Belper and container storage

👑 We rounded off our week moving Maria and Grant (who have kindly agreed to have their photo on our feed) out of Matlock Storage to their new house just outside of Chester

We thank all our customers for putting their trust in Crown Square for their removal needs.

I (Gary) also want to thank our wonderful staff and helpers, all of which have done a great job this week - John, James, Lisa, Harry, Jacob, Theo and Emily.

A busy week full of everything!!!!

We've had a great week here at Crown Square Transport and Removals and one that has contained a little bit of everything -

👑 3 vans worth of camping items for a church in Derby taken (and returned another day) to Newark Showground as 260 of their congregation had a fantastic time at FOCUS 2026.

👑 A 2 van home removal in Chesterfield.

👑 A day of moving items for a returning customer from Matlock to Bamfords auction house in Rowsley with some additional pieces going down to Leicester.

👑 A 2 van house clearance in Kirk Ireton utilising our waste carriers licence at Banks Skip Hire in Chesterfield.

👑 Out and about quoting potential new customers for future work.

Thank you to all our customers this week. August is filling up nicely with only a few available dates remaining so do let us know as early as possible if you would like to use our services in the coming weeks.

LOCAL BUSINESS MOVE

Last Sunday we were kindly asked by Run Forest - Run Shop to help move them from their old location in Crown Square, Matlock to their new and improved home at the Molyneux Business Park in Darley Dale.

About 150 large boxes of stock plus benches, racking stands and a large treadmill were carefully moved from one location to the other, including down a big flight of stairs at the Matlock side.

It was a bit of a family affair with myself, Lisa and our son Jacob joining Run Forests Mike, Jess and their family meaning at one stage there were 10 of us helping out!!

In the 24 hours after we left them, the new shop turned from a mass of boxes into an organised, ready to open run shop. We wish Mike, Jess and the team all the best in their new location and we'll be sure to see you there soon for our own new running shoes!

A Move To The Seaside!!

This week has been a really busy one for us here at Crown Square Transport and Removals, the highlight of which has been a long-distance removal from the Grantham area to the Isle of Portland, connected to Weymouth by a small beach-lined road.

The job involved -

👑 4 Luton vans
👑 4 staff members
👑 2 x 13 hour days
👑 600 miles per van
👑 2 storage containers
👑 Plenty of warm weather and incredible views
👑 2 lovely customers
👑 1 very large and very fluffy dog
👑 1 night away

Due to the small cottagey nature of the Portland house we also needed to take apart and reassemble a range of items including 2 wardrobes, 2 beds, and 2 shelving units in order to get them upstairs!

A big job but one we really enjoyed doing and we're proud to have taken some of the stress of the move away from from our wonderful customers.

Just one example of the work we do here at Crown Square.

Hello Facebookers!!

The past couple of weeks we've been out and about with the newly liveried Ford van as well as the trusty Merc. The weather has been very much on our side and we have loved helping our customers, both domestic and business, on local and long distance jobs.

I don't think we have seen London as often as the last two weeks having been down there three times and back down there again this coming week!!

Some of the jobs we have been trusted with this past couple of weeks have included -

👑 Delivery of an outdoor kitchen for Clover Kitchens to the Ideal Home Show at Olympia, London with collection a week later.

👑 Full pack and move, on the same day, for our lovely customer in Ripley.

👑 Two individual days for some great customers moving into St Elphins in Darley Dale.

👑 Delivery of 2 vans worth of outdoor tables and chairs for a Tansley based business going to Repton School.

👑 Helping our elderly customer, Wynne, move into his new home in Matlock.

👑 Plus much more!!!

Every job gives certain perks but often being in the removals and transport industry we get some unusual ones!

This last couple of weeks we were privileged to be asked by the Golf Foundation to supply them with various protective equipment (blankets, straps, ratchets, etc) in order to protect some special trophies as they went on tour around the country.

The trophies in question were the official men's and women's Open secondary trophies (the actual ones are kept with the current winners throughout the year).

Here is a picture of me (Gary) with the trophies. It was great to see them in person and to see all the winners names etched on from over the years. A great privilege indeed.
