NEW SERVICE PARTNER: Friars Airfield Solutions are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Wingframe for their specialized airfield signs configuration software.

Each year we receive multiple enquiries for Airfield Mandatory, Information and Location Signs from around the world and some of the formats we receive them in take a while to work out, the Wingframe specialized service tool that will be added to our website will assist you in efficiently configuring signs for any airport in accordance with ICAO, EASA, FAA, CAP 168 or TP 312 regulations.

Once you have completed your layout(s) there will be several additional options available including post colour, tethers, bird deterrent and especially for the military all components in black, a detailed proof can be produced in minutes and changes can be easily made before production. The partnership with Wingframe will save everyone a vast amount of time and help streamline the order process.

Keeping with the sustainable energy theme the A650 is a multi-purpose ICAO and FAA compliant low-intensity fully integrated stand-alone LED solar lighting unit available in 5 colour options.

A650 lights are perfect for temporary hazard marking and closure work at airports where mains power is not available, lights can be easily mounted to trailers and barricades and then be easily relocated to other service areas.

The A650 light can be factory set for the specific location of use to aid battery life and is available with a manual switch which will allow the light to operate in dusk till dusk mode as a steady red burn or one of the 256+ in built flash patterns, full wireless control is available as an option. The Energy Management System (EMS) monitors and adapts the brightness to environmental conditions for constant operation and long life under the toughest conditions, the non-wireless A650 set for steady-on can run at maximum output for approx. 60 hours before needing a charge which is achieved by leaving outside for natural daylight to do the job.

FEATURED PRODUCT: Friars Airfield Solutions are featuring the OL800 Solar Obstruction Light from their product portfolio.

The OL800 is an FAA L-810 and ICAO low-intensity fully integrated solar lighting solution including a high-efficiency LED light source, solar panels and battery. The OL800 is the benchmark for low-intensity solar LED obstruction lighting in a compact, stand alone, easy to-install low maintenance package that is operational straight out the box. Available with multiple battery pack options to suit location and can easily be programmed to utilize the built in steady-on red burn or 250+ flash patterns.

As standard the OL800 is equipped with onboard battery status, automatic light control, bird deterrent and integrated carry handle. The optional GPS synchronization enables 2 or more OL800 lights to flash in unison. Infrared (IR) LEDs are available as an option.

These lights are perfect for temporary and permanent installations where mains power is not available.

To complement our 6.6A helipad lighting systems we have added a range of low energy LED 230V 50/60Hz and 48V DC ICAO compliant lights, lighting controllers, mounting and installation equipment.

Helipad lights include inset, flat surface mounted and elevated for TLOF, FATO, Taxiway, Approach, Floodlight, Aiming Point and Beacon applications. 48V DC lights using a power supply from a lighting controller are dimmable. Pilot activated control is also available.

Utilizing this product range is a cost effective, low energy, single point solution for commercial or private helipad, heliport, helideck installations.
