As some of you will already know, on Friday the 27th of March, an inconsiderate driver of a 17ton lorry smashed into the front corner of my minibus whilst I was turning right on the roundabout at the bottom of Prospect Rd.
Even though the other driver was fully at fault, the insurance company have decided to scrap my minibus as they have deemed it uneconomical to repair with it having done 250k miles and the impact leaving the front end twisted to the extent that the bonnet now overlaps the drivers side front wing by almost an inch.
So, unfortunately, because the insurance company haven't given me enough for my minibus to cover the cost of buying a suitable replacement.
And, with work dropping off for it as it has over the years since covid, and operating costs continuing to rise as they are, I just don't feel it to be a viable option to get myself into debt that I can't guarantee having enough work to be able to cover.
So, this will now unfortunately mark the "OFFICIAL" end of my taxiing.
Which leaves me now wishing to say a huge thanks to all of you who have supported me with the taxis over the years. 🙏
For myself going forward, as some of you are already aware, I'll be putting all of my efforts into the driving school which I have been slowly growing in the background for a few years now.
