What an amazing tour this has been!

I have spent four days travelling around Cumbria in the company of these eight very special guests, who entered into every day with a spirit of adventure - despite the most ridiculously wet and stormy weather that posed enormous challenges almost every day: roads turned into rivers overnight, boats cancelled, power cuts...

Sometimes unforeseen circumstances necessitate thinking on your feet to make a holiday a success, and armed with the wellies kindly lent by the Wild Boar, Frances, Sheila, Christine, Sylvia, John, Tony, Marion, and Sarah took everything in their stride!

We have laughed - and sung - our way through our magnificent landscapes with their everchanging moods: the inspiration of artists and writers through the ages ...
.. and we have marvelled at the way that the driving rain has miraculously given way to blue skies and the most beautiful rainbows 🌈 ...

Reading these kind words of appreciation has made everything worthwhile 😊.
