Holidays by Vicky I am a Personal Travel Expert offering a personalised service to create the perfect holiday. Hi, I’m Vicky. Best piece of travel advice?

Born and bred in the Northwest of England, I have been in the travel industry since the age of 17. Learning my trade in busy High Street agencies and travelling extensively, I joined Holidaysplease during the pandemic in 2020 after eight lovely years with Kuoni. My strengths lie in the Indian Ocean, the Middle & Far East and Africa but I have a passion for long-haul luxury and creating tailor-made

itineraries, including honeymoons and cruises. Becoming a mum resulted in new community connections and helping more families find their dream holidays. I am approachable, conscientious and love to talk through my clients’ needs which builds mutual trust. Lock your phone in the hotel safe whenever possible and take in your surroundings instead. For most of us, holidays only come around once a year, so live every day in the present with your loved ones.

One of my favourite parts of what I do…

This message landed in my inbox yesterday afternoon from a client who has just arrived at her hotel in Santorini and discovered she’s been upgraded. 🥰

When you book through me, you’re not just booking a room. Behind the scenes, I work closely with many of our hotel partners around the world, building relationships that can unlock added value for my clients, whether that’s a room upgrade, a special welcome amenity, late check-out, resort credits or other little surprises. ✨

Of course, upgrades can never be guaranteed, but it’s these relationships and personal touches that can make a holiday feel even more special.

There’s nothing better than hearing the excitement in a client’s voice when they arrive and find an unexpected treat waiting for them. 🌸🍾✨

This is why using a travel counsellor makes all the difference. 🙌

Gosh!! I really do wish the media would stop with the scaremongering! 🤯🫣

If you’ve seen recent reports about jet fuel supplies and are wondering whether your travel plans could be affected, the good news is they shouldn’t be.

The UK Government have confirmed that UK airlines are not facing a jet fuel shortage. Flights are operating as normal, airlines purchase fuel well in advance, and airports have robust reserves and contingency plans in place.

In addition, major UK tour operators (Jet2 Holidays, TUI and EasyJet) confirmed yesterday that there will be no fuel surcharges applied to existing or new bookings.

In short, there is no reason to change, delay, or hesitate when making your travel plans. 🙌

Day 13 & 14

Our final two days blended into one as we made the most of every last moment. We spent our time relaxing by the pool, enjoying a bit of shopping at Target and Disney Springs, and heading back into the parks for a few hours to revisit our favourite rides. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end such an incredible trip than watching the Magic Kingdom’s “Happily Ever After” fireworks.

What a trip it’s been. Every moment was filled, nothing left undone, and we had the best time from start to finish. Experiences like this make me even more excited to help you plan your own Disney and Universal adventure. 🥰

Day 12

This morning we headed to ‘Ohana for a character breakfast at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. We met Lilo and Stitch, along with Pluto and Mickey, and each of them came over to our table for cuddles, high fives, and some lovely photo moments with William and Harriet. The breakfast itself was delicious and included as part of our Disney Dining Plan.

Afterwards, we had a family decision to make - Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Universal’s Volcano Bay. Volcano Bay won the vote, as we felt it offered more thrill rides, whereas Blizzard Beach is perfect for younger children and toddlers. As I’ve mentioned earlier in the trip, I’ve realised mine are complete adrenaline junkies and are always chasing the next thrill!

It was another fantastic day, although the sun was intense and a couple of Volcano Bay cocktails certainly took their toll, leaving me feeling quite exhausted by the time we left. So it was back for another early night, a Disney movie, and getting ready to make the most of our final days.

Day 11

Today we finally went to explore the iconic “big ball” Epcot. I’d never fully understood what Epcot was all about before, but now I absolutely do…and I loved it.

We kicked things off by heading straight for two of the biggest rides: Test Track and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Guardians instantly made it into my top five rides, it was that good.

After that, we slowed things down and explored the park properly, strolling around the lake through the different countries. We stopped along the way for iconic cocktails, food, and of course ice cream. With the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival in full swing, everything looked so vibrant, colourful, and beautifully themed.

In the evening, we had a dinner reservation at La Hacienda de San Angel, right on the lake. We’d heard it was one of the best spots to watch the Epcot fireworks and it didn’t disappoint. The view was completely uninterrupted, and the show itself was incredible. I actually ended up in tears by the end.

An unforgettable Disney day, and without a doubt one of my favourite parks.
