🎉 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐬 𝟔 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐥! ✈️✨
Six years ago today, I took a leap of faith.
It was October 2020. The world was in lockdown, nobody was travelling anywhere, and the idea of starting a career in travel probably seemed a little bit bonkers! Or Ballsy as my brother called me!😂
But after years of planning and dreaming about holidays of my own, I realised I wanted to turn that passion into something more. I wanted to share my knowledge, experience and love of travel with other families, helping them explore the world and create their own magical memories. ✨🌎
At the time, I was working from home for a bank, trying to homeschool my children, watching the stock markets go completely crazy… and somewhere amongst all that chaos, I had a realisation.
I didn’t want to go back to the commute.
I didn’t want to go back to the city.
I wanted more time with my children, more freedom, a better work-life balance — and to be my own boss.
And then there was my husband… 😂
After years of badgering him about where we should go on our next holiday (and probably pushing his patience to its limits!), he eventually suggested:
“Why don’t you just become a travel agent?”
And that little comment started a cog turning…
Six years later, here I am. ❤️
What started as an idea to help others travel has become a career that I absolutely LOVE.
And somehow, alongside celebrating my six year anniversary, I’ve also just passed £6 MILLION in holiday sales! 🤯🎉
Six years. Over Six million pounds of holidays. Over 1,500 special trips. Over 5,500 happy customers..And one VERY patient husband! 😂
There have been challenges, long days, late nights, plenty of “just one more thing” and definitely more holidays than my husband ever anticipated when he made that suggestion!
But I genuinely wouldn’t change it for the world.
To every single person who has trusted me with their holidays, recommended me to friends and family, booked with me, shared my posts, liked, commented or simply supported me along the way…𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨❤️
You’ve helped turn a crazy idea during a crazy time into a career I’m incredibly proud of.
Here’s to the last six years, the memories made, the experiences shared with colleagues, the adventures still to come… and, of course…
