When hundreds of homes across Kent & Sussex were left without water during the recent supply outages, communities needed support fast. We stepped in with an urgent delivery to help keep essential supplies moving where they were needed most.

With record temperatures increasing demand and ongoing disruption across the region, every minute mattered. Massive respect to everyone involved in getting the job done quickly and safely. 💪

🚛 *HGV Mechanic Wanted – Join the Alcaline UK Team* 🚛

We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable HGV Mechanic to help keep the Alcaline UK fleet safe, compliant, and road-ready. If you’ve got strong fault-finding skills, experience with PMIs, and enjoy working as part of a team — we want to hear from you.

🔧 *What you’ll be doing:*
✔️ Carrying out 6-weekly HGV safety inspections (PMIs)
✔️ Diagnosing faults & repairing defects efficiently
✔️ Supporting MOT prep and vehicle maintenance
✔️ Completing inspection records and job cards accurately
✔️ Working closely with drivers, workshop staff & operations
✔️ Helping minimise downtime and keep vehicles on the road

🚚 *Fleet includes:*
DAF | VOLVO | IVECO

📍 *Location:* Alcaline UK (site-based)
🕒 *Hours:* Monday–Friday + Saturday mornings
🌴 *Benefits:* 20 days holiday + bank holidays | Nest Pension | Overtime opportunities

✅ *What we’re looking for:*
* Proven HGV mechanic/technician experience
* Strong repair and diagnostic skills
* Good understanding of PMIs & preventative maintenance
* Team player with a strong work ethic
* Full UK C+E licence required

⭐ Desirable: IRTEC accreditation, fleet PMI experience, diagnostic software knowledge, brake testing familiarity.
