The inaugural 𝗚𝗕𝗥 IRC Rating 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 delivered three fantastic days of racing on the River Mersey, hosted by 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗬𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯. From light-air tactical battles to a thrilling final day in 15–20 knots, competition was fierce across all classes.

Congratulations to Overall Champion and IRC Class 1 winner 𝘌𝘢𝘻𝘪 𝘛𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘳 - Adam Kyffin/Jon Oliver's Corby 29; IRC Class 2 winner 𝘒𝘢𝘰𝘴 - Charles Adams' Beneteau First Class 8; and White Sails winner 𝘚𝘬𝘶𝘬𝘶𝘴𝘢 - Stuart Lofthouse's Impala 28. A huge thank you to Liverpool Yacht Club, competitors, volunteers and sponsors for making the event such a success.

The overall winner received generous prizes from North Sails including a voucher and merchandise, and each class's daily overall best performers received a North Sails cap.

Racing on the first day of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 IRC Rating 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 in 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗲 finally got underway this afternoon after a slow start in the high pressure which is set to continue over the weekend. Yesterday saw the event technical committee, including our own Sally Moss, carrying out equipment inspection on the fleet, including checking sail data and stickers against the IRC certificates and inspecting the interior fitout.

Tomorrow the 𝗜𝗥𝗖 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 will also get underway as part of Poole Regatta

⛵ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗖𝘂𝗽 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗜𝗥𝗖 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

The Shanghai Cup and Bristol Channel IRC Championships are coming up soon, with competition taking place in the Severn Estuary and Bristol Channel and/or Cardiff Bay, from Portishead on 𝟵/𝟭𝟬 𝗠𝗮𝘆 and Cardiff on 𝟮𝟯/𝟮𝟰 𝗠𝗮𝘆; there is also a Portishead to Cardiff Passage Race. After racing, crews can relax with social programmes on both weekends.
