We are incredibly proud to announce that Fibre Mechanics has presented a £750 donation to Oakhaven Hospice from the proceeds of our recent Christmas Raffle.

We raised an incredible total of £3,205 for Macmillan Cancer Support and Oakhaven Hospice. A huge thank you to everyone who donated and took part in this cause. We look forward to continuing to support charitable events in the future!

🌟 🛠️ It's National Apprenticeship Week! 🛠️ 🌟

Today, Hayley had the pleasure of visiting our first-year apprentices and their tutor Barry at the Marine Centre. The apprentices are training towards their Level 3 in Boatbuilding with South Hampshire College Group.

She was incredibly impressed by the fantastic work they've achieved, including some excellent handrails and cleats they've completed. 👏 Ruben, Ethan, Jack and Toby are learning valuable skills that will set them up for success in their careers. It's exciting to see them thrive and continue building their expertise. 🛠️💡

The Fibre Mechanics team celebrates a significant milestone as they finalize the construction of composite tidal blades for the Proteus AR1100 turbine, set to power renewable energy initiatives in Japan. This groundbreaking project pushed the boundaries of composite construction, requiring the development of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies tailored for this endeavor within a demanding timeframe. The meticulously crafted blades are currently enroute to Japan, where they will soon be integrated onto the turbine, gearing up for their underwater deployment in the upcoming weeks.

✨🎄 Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Fibre Mechanics! 🎄✨

Our Christmas raffle was an absolute success, and we raised a total of £3,205 for charity! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who donated gifts and bought raffle tickets. Your generosity has made a real difference. Here's a breakdown of the total raised:

🎨 £375 from the Stephen Lees painting auction
💷 £750 from Krueger's donation
⛵ £750 from Fibre Mechanics donation
🎟️ £1,330 from ticket sales (266 strips)

Raising £2,455 for Macmillan Cancer Support and £750 for Oakhaven Hospice is a wonderful way to contribute to such important causes. Thank you to everyone that helped organised the raffle and to the local companies that donated. It will make a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer and those locally that need to use the services at the hospice.

We are currently raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, and we're thrilled to announce that the incredible artist Stephen Lees has generously donated a stunning painting to help with this cause.

We were fortunate enough to have the unique opportunity to watch Stephen create this beautiful piece in person last week, and now we’re excited to auction it off to raise money.

The online auction will begin on Friday 13th at 14:30pm and will close on Friday 20th at 14:30pm. We will post the link on Friday morning!
