We know that Bank Holidays don’t necessarily mean a day off when you’re on the frontline!

🚨 WHEN SOMEONE NEEDS HELP… YOU HELP. SIMPLE AS THAT. 💙💛

Today, while our very own Ash & Pete were out and about completing more quotes for our lovely customers, we received a phone call from a local Lowestoft resident who was in a bit of a desperate situation.

He had been let down on moving day by another removal company from outside the area. 😔

He told us they were trying to charge him additional money and were refusing to take some of his belongings! including his mobility scooter! something he obviously relies on!

He was understandably stressed and upset… and there was absolutely NO WAY we were going to leave him in that situation. ❤️

The only slight problem… we’d already given our removal team an early finish! 😂

So we made one phone call to the lads, explained what had happened and asked if they could help…

Without a second’s hesitation, they turned around and came straight back to work. 👏👏👏

The team loaded everything up, including the mobility scooter, and got Ash & Pete on their way to make sure this gentleman and ALL of his belongings made it safely to his new home. 🏡🚚💨

No drama.
No taking advantage of someone in a difficult situation.
No leaving him stranded.

Just a local company helping a local resident when he needed it most. 💙

The gentleman was absolutely over the moon and actually asked us to take this photo and share it on our socials because he was so grateful for what the team had done. 📸🥹

And we have to say… we’re incredibly proud of our lads too.

They’d finished work. They were on their way home. They could quite easily have said no.

But they didn’t.

That’s the team we’ve built. ❤️

Me and Pete are out on the road today, working our way through lots of quotes for all our lovely potential new customers! 🏡📋

Obviously, all this chatting and working out how many vans we need is hungry work… 😂

So we had to make a very important business decision and stop off at a lovely little café for a quick refreshment break… ☕🥤

And WOW… what a sausage roll! 🤤👏
Absolutely HUGE, proper tasty and exactly what was needed to fuel us for the rest of the day! 😂

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 From Suffolk to the Isle of Harris… what an adventure! 🚚💨

Over the last 3 days, the team have been helping another lovely family start their next chapter, completing a long distance move all the way from Suffolk to the beautiful Isle of Harris in Scotland!

With a journey of around 17 hours from Lowestoft to their stunning new home, it’s certainly been one of those jobs we’ll remember for a long time! The miles have been worth it though… just look at some of the incredible scenery we’ve been lucky enough to see. 😍🌊⛰️

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Move It and Store It Right trip without a little bit of entertainment…

Our very own JJ decided she was going to make friends with one of the local sheep! 🐑😂 Let’s just say we had to carry out a full van inspection after unloading to make sure she hadn’t secretly smuggled one home as a new office mascot! 🚐🐑

Now it’s time for a well earned rest before we begin the long journey back home tomorrow! 🏡

🚛🚴 What a weekend! 🚴🚛

This weekend, our very own Peter swapped house moves for bike moves as he loaded up 50 bicycles for Dunx Cycles, transporting them safely down to London ready for one of the UK’s most iconic overnight cycling events! the Dunwich Dynamo!

The Dunwich Dynamo is an incredible overnight ride from London to the Suffolk coast, with thousands of cyclists taking on the challenge of riding over 110 miles through the night before arriving in beautiful Dunwich at sunrise. 🌅🚲 (Dunwich Dynamo⁠)

We’re proud to have played a small part in helping riders get to the start line safely, and we’d like to wish a huge well done to everyone who took part in this amazing challenge! 💪

A big thank you to the team at Dunx Cycles for trusting us with the transport. We hope everyone had an unforgettable ride!

💙 Once part of the team, always part of the family.

Today we say “see you later” to one of our own.

After more than 7 years with Move It & Store It Right, our good friend and colleague Kurt has made the difficult decision to leave us.

This wasn’t an easy choice for him, but family always comes first. Kurt has moved to Newmarket to support his partner Jess as they prepare to welcome their little one into the world and begin an exciting new chapter together.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything Kurt has done over the years. His hard work, loyalty, dedication and the laughs we’ve shared have helped shape the business into what it is today. He’s been much more than an employee! he’s been part of our family!

Whilst we’re sad to see him go, we couldn’t be happier for both Kurt and Jess as they start this exciting journey together. ❤️

The good news? Kurt has already told us that if he makes the move back to Lowestoft in the future, he’ll be straight back through our doors. We’d welcome him back with open arms because once you’re part of the Move It & Store It Right family, you’re always part of the family.

From all of us, thank you for everything you’ve done over the last seven years. We wish you, Jess and your growing family nothing but happiness and success.
