Sometimes, even when a journey doesn’t lead to the solution you hoped for, it can help you understand what the right solution needs to be.

We were delighted to be recognised in a recent post by Rosaleen Moriarty-Simmonds OBE, following our work to explore a bespoke side-entry ramp for a Ford Tourneo alongside Steering Developments and GM Mobility.

Although a technical issue with the vehicle’s sliding door meant the project couldn’t progress, the process helped to narrow the search and identify rear-entry access as the best way forward.

At V***r Ricon, we’re always willing to offer our advice and expertise to help explore what may be possible, even when a project presents complex challenges.

We were also incredibly humbled by Rosaleen’s generous donation to Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People as a thank you for the team’s support.

The best engineering solutions are often the ones you never notice.

When Lothian Vehicle Bodybuilders needed a way to safely load a specialist optical eye scanner into a VW ID Buzz, a standard ramp simply wasn't an option. The vehicle's rear access height called for a bespoke solution.

Drawing on experience from a similar project, we supplied a custom ramp that met the challenge, enabling the safe and reliable transportation of valuable medical equipment.

Today, that vehicle is helping NHS Tayside bring diabetic eye screening services closer to patients, demonstrating how the right engineering solution can support better healthcare delivery.
