DRJ Crew are looking for general event crew, based out of our Loughborough office in the East Midlands. We are a supporting labour force for events and the role involves:
Building stages and structures at festivals and corporate events
Working with AV in conferences and exhibitions
Loading and unloading trucks in warehouses
Building and dismantling sets, stages, and scenery
Rig and derig of power, lighting, audio and visual equipment
Building structures for film studios and global events
As we come towards the end of festival season, we see the crew moving more to corporate work and indoor arenas, tours and of course, panto!
The work is physically demanding. The right candidates will be willing to work long, unsociable hours when necessary and be punctual, well presented, and polite.
No two days are ever the same and we work with different clients, in different venues, at different times, within different environments and with different goals on a day-to-day basis.
The nature of the events industry is that the work is seasonal and in fits and starts.
The correct candidates will have the following attributes:
Punctual
Well presented
Good communications
Ability to work in a team
Polite
Attention to detail
Pro-active
Willing to work unsociable hours (the nature of crewing demands this)
Able to follow instruction and use common sense to work safely
Minimum 18 years of age
Whilst experience is not essential, candidates in possession of the following will have a higher earning potential:
FLT License – Counterbalance/Telehandler
Scissor Lift and Cherry Picker ticket
PASMA
Working at Height experience (climbing and rigging)
CSCS Card
It is also desirable to be in possession of a Full UK Driving License and have your own transport. It goes without saying that event industry experience is a bonus.
